We are an inclusive school for children from early years onwards, based on Koh Samui, an island off the east coast of Thailand. Nestling in an area of beautiful greenery with waterfalls nearby we offer a sense of nurture and wellbeing to our children and families.
We encourage our children to develop a strong foundation of cultural understanding as well as supporting our students to be the best version of themselves, through their academic learning, co-curricular opportunities and love for the planet.
Our Curriculum is based on the English National Curriculum and meets the needs of our multi-lingual students. As a school with a clear focus on the natural world, we aim to ignite the spark of environmental awareness in our students.
We give them the tools to be not only become well educated academically today but empowered to make choices that expand into the community through conscious choices and behaviours.
We strongly support the values, traditions and culture of Thailand. We want our students to be respectful and sensitive to all aspects of life in the Kingdom, regardless of their different religious beliefs and backgrounds.
Developing the whole child is a very important part of our ethos and as such, we encourage personal goals explicitly through our school’s programs and curriculum. Our children’s personal progress is regularly celebrated, thereby supporting and reinforcing our school ethos of building both excellent learners and responsible members of society.
Mission Statement
“Greenacre International School provides a stimulating and enriching education within a supportive, inclusive community, where each person matters and in which all students have the opportunity to thrive and fulfil their potential as a global citizen”.
Our Key Values
Growth
At Greenacre, we understand that personal growth is a fundamental cornerstone of developing our students and staff to be the very best version of themselves they can be. By motivating and challenging our students to grow and do their very best we are building their personal qualities and equipping them for the future.
Respect
We encourage a culture of respect at Greenacre through honouring the rights of each person as a unique individual, by recognising that each person has something to share and that we can each have a different viewpoint. We foster a sense of respect for ourselves and others.
Environmental
Through our teaching and learning, we foster a sense of environmental awareness. Through the exploration of the natural world and instilling a sense of care we are developing the awareness of the future custodians of the planet.
Empathy
Understanding others without judgement and with compassion is a cornerstone value at Greenacre. We encourage our students and staff to develop their empathetic skills so that they develop greater emotional intelligence, understand how to manage negativity and set a good example for others.

Thank you once again for doing your part to keep Edarabia the most trusted education source.
Very well rounded school with balanced understanding of modern education methods (focus on making learning fun, good mental health, caring for the environment, etc) combined with structured and well organised teaching, ECAs and community. British curriculum with UK trained teachers and English speaking children. Our kids are really happy there and the community of parents are extremely welcoming. We wouldn't consider any other school in Koh Samui.

The Greenacre school is amazing. My two sons are happy to study there. All teachers, assistants, and director are very friendly and love students. The school has a big parking and also school buses are available upon request. Classes finish at 3 pm. There are lots of after-school clubs from 3 to 3:45 pm, e.g. swimming, art, craft, chess, environmental, etc. I am really happy we chose this school

My daughter used to study in this school during 4 months. She adores it! Her English was a 0 level when she came. Now she can do all homework herself and she wrote a goodbye letter for teachers:
“I want to say thank you to teachers from my school but first I want to say that I’m very sad to live this school because I had a really good friends and also it was my first school where the teachers it’s like a friends with a kids and everybody it’s so kind to each other and each day in Greenacre it was really cool. THANK YOU GREENACRE INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL YOU ARE THE BEST”

Greenacre is a school with excellent values where teachers and staff are deeply involved in the children's development and education. As foreigners who lived in other places in Asia, we have never experienced such a positive and dedicated school environment.

For me it's the best school in south of Samui. It was the first time for my children they go in a school. Before they spoke only french. The teaching staff is top and really cares about giving children the tools to grow. The follow-up is personalized. I recommend it

Greenacre is a school that will forever remain in our hearts. It is not just a place of learning, but truly a home filled with warmth, care, and inspiration. Our children studied at Greenacre, and we look back on that time with the deepest gratitude. Principal Lindsey and teachers are incredible people who see each child as an individual and support them on their journey of growth. Their kindness, attention, and genuine dedication create the unique atmosphere that makes Greenacre so special. The school not only provides excellent education, but also nurtures confidence, respect, and kindness in children. We saw how our children ran to school every morning with joy — and that, perhaps, is the best proof of what a wonderful place Greenacre is. We miss it very much and will always remember Greenacre as the best place on earth for a child’s learning and development. Thank you for giving us the chance to be part of your school family! 💚
