Hallfield School is now in its one-hundred-and-forty-second year. Its strength today after so long and successful a history is a testament to that heritage – but also to how the school has constantly changed to ensure its standards remain amongst the highest in the independent sector.

Our distinguished past is matched by our ambitions for our future, to offer the pupils who come here a first-class prep school education. Our pupils enjoy unrivalled academic success due to our excellent teaching environment and by working in partnership with the child and parents, leavers at the age of eleven move on to highly selective schools, both in the maintained and independent sectors.

But a Hallfield education is so much more besides academic excellence. Here at Hallfield we nurture the whole child and encourage them to become the very best versions of themselves. Our nurturing approach enables this success, and also powers the co-curricular activities, from chess to sport, that we consider central to life at Hallfield – and crucial to helping our pupils become confident, rounded individuals equipped for the next chapter of their education. We enable our pupils to give more than they ever imagined possible.

Our job at Hallfield is to inspire ambition in our children, balanced with the humility, respect and consideration that is interwoven into our ethos as a school with a Christian foundation. We aim to create global citizens, aware of their own responsibilities and impact on the world in which we all live. We are a first-class school on your doorstep. Please come and see us in action and experienced the Hallfield ‘buzz’ for yourself.

Our aims Of The School are;

  • To provide a safe, caring, happy and high-achieving culture, based on Christian principles, whilst welcoming children of all faiths (and none).
  • To enable each child to reach their potential in academic, cultural and sporting areas whilst providing them with a foundation to develop a love of learning and curiosity about the world around them.
  • To enable each child to develop socially and emotionally into resilient citizens, displaying courtesy and compassion to each other as members of a community.
