Hampton International Pre-School is a family-owned school located in Chaengwattana and Sathorn that educates children through the British national curriculum with a Reggio Emilia inspired teaching approach.
Since 2009, we have educated over 1,000 global children (18 months to 6 years old) from over 25 different nationalities in our leafy and green environment. It is a family early childhood school (Playgroup/Nursery/Prep International Kindergarten/Year 1) in Bangkok, Thailand with a unique atmosphere – committed to creating a secure, happy, and challenging learning environment for your child.
Hampton International Pre-School's curriculum is based on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) frame work and the Reggio Emilia approach.
These are adapted to suit the needs of our learners in an international environment. Along with this, we provide an ideal and homely childcare environment for your child to grow, learn and develop in a place full of warmth, security and care. These are all part of our offered curriculum so that your child will flourish and will be encouraged to learn through play. Through this, they will also be given every opportunity to reach their full potential at their own pace. EYFS children have specialist teaching in PE, Thai and Music to complete their holistic development.
The daily topics are designed to build basic skills. The topics in Nursery are focused on basic concepts such as colour, animals, and transport. This allows children to bring their own experiences to school and build them. It also ensures that they begin learning the essential English vocabulary, as it is a vital part of their schooling.
The topics are taught through singing, painting and performing role play and teacher-led activities. They are always busy! There will be teacher-led independent activities designed around a topic. The K1 topics from Nursery year are extended to develop children’s knowledge of the world.
With this, the teachers continue to build their students’ confidence and independence by incorporating more activities to their day where the children develop their own ideas and projects. The children will be showing greater awareness of the environment around them. In class, children are introduced to letter sounds and mathematical concepts and numbers. The learning strategy for K2 year is through the use the students’ love of play to explore different roles, solve problems, and develop firm friendships.
The children are introduced to phonics, forming letters and words, identifying numbers and simple sums. They are encouraged to start raising their own questions, and explore ways to work things out, in preparation for Year 1. The curriculum is organized according to cross-curricular themes. The objectives are drawn from the National Curriculum, thus ensuring appropriate length and depth of learning.
The theme titles are designed to meet the interest levels and ability of children; but across the school there is a balance of historical, geographical, scientific and literature-based topics. Young children’s imagination is stimulated by the inclusion of the topics in their interests, thus creative thinking is developed.
The core subjects for Year 1 are Literacy, Numeracy and Science. There are also other subjects such as music and art. Hampton’s After School Clubs are designed to allow students to explore their interests and to develop skills outside of the classroom.
The school provides a variety of After School Clubs, including:
We start school every morning in the garden. This gives the children an opportunity to settle being at school while giving their parents a chance to meet the teachers and say goodbye to their child. Good air quality safeguards healthy development, aids focus & learning, and reduces absences.
In line with the recommendations of the World Health Organisation and US Environmental Protection Agency, Hampton International Pre-School maintains a clear policy to ensure the well-being of all students and staff.

Visited this international school at Sathorn and my son immediately loves it. All their teachers are British, which makes us feel closer to home (We're also British). We want our son to grow up in an environment that encourages global learning. Their teacher-student ratio is very high, which mean my son is being well taken care of.

Was searching for international preschool in Sathorn and came across their website and Facebook page. I like how they are constantly updated and showcased the daily life of the children... So I went for a school tour at their city campus @ sathorn. Was impressed by how most of the children there are speaking really good English. Decided to send my daughter there and am happy that she's adapting well and making friends already.
