Job Summary
ISP is looking for a bilingual Arabic HOD able to start immediately, the successful candidate will be able to lead Arabic team according to KHDA and ADEK standers. A bachelor’s degree in education is mandatory as well as a previous experience in leadership. Master’s degree in education is preferred but not necessarily.

Core purposes:
- To ensure the quality of learning in MOE subjects enables every child to make as much progress as possible
- To ensure the quality of teaching in MOE subjects is of the highest standard, ensuring lessons are relevant, engaging, challenging and fun in line with The school way
- To ensure the curriculum, assessment, time allocations and qualifications of staff for MOE subjects is in line with UAE regulations
- To take a lead in ensuring the school community pays adherence to sensitive issues and curriculum compliance in the UAE
- To work collaboratively with colleagues and families particularly on cultural events
- To have a positive impact on the work of the school as a member of the senior leadership team
Key duties for all teachers include:
- To ensure children are safe and well cared for at all times
- To plan and deliver creative and engaging lessons, ensuring that children are actively learning throughout each lesson
- To ensure effective communication and direct the work of others, as appropriate
- To lead CAS activities, participating and leading staff training and contributing to the establishment and development of the school community
- To comply with our agreed policies
- To actively engage with our school community e.g. through newsletters, informal dialogue, reporting, supporting school functions and contributing to community and marketing activities
- To actively participate in the performance management process of self and others
- To offer support and guidance to staff
- To provide training within and beyond our school to colleagues and families
- To be a part of the school curriculum compliance committee
