Our partner schools is seeking a Head of Music. The school delivers the English national curriculum & is located within Doha, Qatar.

Candidate Profile

• Committed to inspiring and motivating staff & students through the highest expectations
• A team player with excellent subject knowledge
• 2 years of experience as a Head of Music
• British Curriculum experience
• A strong communicator wanting the best for each student
• A passionate  teacher, enthusiastic and optimistic in your approach
• Having a secure knowledge of the subject they are teaching
• Oversee, plan and teach well-structured lessons which are documented and reflect school schemes of work
• Strengthening the school community
• Effective deployment of staff
• Undertaking pastoral duties
• Participate in meetings at school, which relate to the curriculum for the school or the administration or organisation of the school, including pastoral arrangements
• Attend parents’ meetings and be appropriately prepared to discuss student achievement and well-being
• Participate in arrangements for further training and professional development as a middle leader.
• Contribute to the school Development Plan
• Develop a strategic plan for the development of the music department
