Job Description
The role has the following responsibilities:
- Lead the venture capital investment strategy and manage the full VC investment lifecycle from origination through execution, portfolio management and exit.
- Source, evaluate, structure and execute venture capital investments across early-stage and growth-stage companies, including direct investments, fund commitments and co-investments.
- Conduct rigorous commercial, financial and strategic due diligence to support investment decisions aligned with risk and return objectives.
- Negotiate investment terms, governance rights and economic structures to optimise outcomes for the portfolio.
- Actively manage and monitor the VC portfolio, tracking performance through KPIs and initiating value‑creation or corrective actions where required.
- Support portfolio companies through board observation, strategic input and exit planning.
- Prepare and present high-quality investment proposals to the Investment Committee, clearly articulating investment theses, risks and expected returns.
- Lead, mentor and develop a team of venture capital investment professionals, fostering a collaborative and high‑performance culture.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with founders, venture capital fund managers, co‑investors and broader ecosystem participants.
- Play a key role in raising third‑party capital for venture capital strategies and maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective investors.

The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- 12+ years’ experience in venture capital, technology investing, growth equity, investment banking or high‑growth investment environments, with a strong venture capital focus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business or a related discipline; MBA, Master’s degree or CFA preferred
- Proven track record of sourcing, executing and managing successful venture capital investments.
- Strong financial modelling, valuation and investment analysis skills relevant to early and growth-stage companies.
- Experience leading and developing investment professionals within a venture capital environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience presenting to investment committees and senior stakeholders.
- Strong relationship management skills across founders, investors, partners and internal teams.
- High standards of integrity, governance awareness and a collaborative approach to working within a broader investment organisation.
