Heritage College

Heritage College is a private Christian School in Narre Warren South and Officer. Heritage College provides excellence in Christian education from Early Learning (3-5 years) to Year 12 VCE and VCAL. The curriculum is designed for the whole child, balancing academic, emotional, physical and spiritual development. Using Christ's example, Heritage College seeks to provide holistic education for an abundant life. To provide quality Christian Education which caters for the development of the mind, body and spirit of all students. Seventh-day Adventist education at Heritage College is based upon a world view derived from the Christian faith. This view begins with an eternal, loving and personal God who has always existed, is all powerful and is the source of all life, truth, beauty and Christian values.

God, through Christ the Son, created this world as a part of His perfect universe.  Furthermore, He sustains His creation by His power and through the natural laws He instituted. Although created perfect, this planet has been corrupted by sin resulting in a world that is out of harmony with the rest of creation. However, God has instituted plans to restore this world to its original perfection.

Men and women were originally created in God’s image: a unity of body, mind and spirit; endowed with intellect, emotion and the power of choice.  Sin, however, has not only corrupted the environment, but also people.  God’s image has been marred, yet may be restored through a personal response to the initiative of Jesus Christ and the work of the Holy Spirit. A person’s purpose, therefore, is found not in self but in a relationship to the Creator. All truth finds its centre and unity in God. God communicates truth in a general way through the natural world and His providential acts, and more specifically through Jesus Christ, and His inspired word.

The truth is comprehended through observation and reason, but these avenues to understanding require faith and the direction of the Holy Spirit. Since all truth is God’s truth, there is no dichotomy between the sacred and the secular, rather, Christian faith pervades all of life and every activity has spiritual significance. God, through his moral laws, has outlined standards of ethical behaviour based on his own character of love.  When adopted, these laws develop a commitment to selfless service and a personal loving concern for all.

Our appreciation of beauty and innate creativity, although marred by sin, still reflect God’s image. Without the direction of the Holy Spirit these capacities may be used for evil instead of good. Appreciation of beauty and creativity extend to all cultural activities and involve relationships with God, other people, and the natural world.

Heritage College Early Learning Centre is a Christian facility that provides long day care for 3 & 4 year olds, a 3 and 4 year old kindergarten program, and before and after school hours care.  It is owned and operated by Seventh-Day Adventist Schools (Victoria) Ltd, and is situated on the grounds of Heritage College on Starling Rd, Officer.  From your child’s early years through to their senior high school years, this convenient location ensures your children are educated intellectually and spiritually in one convenient location.
