Hilton Head Preparatory School is a co-educational day/boarding school which enrolls approximately 400 students in Junior Kindergarten through twelfth grade. Hilton Head Prep is the lowcountry's preeminent, accredited independent school whose mission is to prepare students in a safe environment for the most selective colleges. The school maintains a challenging curriculum with an outstanding faculty in a supportive community. With a rich history of 50 years, we take great pride in our outstanding team of educators, our rigorous college-prep curriculum and our extensive array of athletic teams, performing and visual arts, community service opportunities and co-curricular activities.

The backbone of our students’ achievements is our distinguished and dedicated faculty. Recruited from throughout the United States and abroad, more than 60% of our teachers and administrators have master’s degrees and several have doctorates. They are passionate about their profession, knowledgeable about their field of study and they adhere to a unique style of teaching that approaches each child as an individual who possesses unique strengths and interests. Most teachers coach athletic teams, sponsor clubs and service organizations, or direct one of our renowned fine and performing arts programs. Hilton Head Preparatory School, enrolling 450 students in Junior Kindergarten (beginning at age 3) through Grade 12, offers an academic and co-curricular program designed to challenge each individual to reach his or her highest potential. Learning and character are nurtured through a traditional college preparatory curriculum that integrates the liberal arts and sciences, technology and ethical values. Honors and Advanced Placement courses are available in all disciplines, while a comprehensive Learning Resource Program provides added academic support for students at all grade levels.
