Welcome to Holte School. At Holte School, we care deeply for all our students; for their education, and safety, their personal development and their well-being. We value all children as individuals, nurturing their creative talents, working relentlessly to make sure that they have the highest aspirations and are motivated to flourish and succeed in everything they do.
We believe that education is about more than just academic achievement. We want to engage and enhance all aspects of our student’s lives and in doing so help them to determine their own future, with a good understanding of the world and opportunities around them.
Advance notice to parents/carers of Year 11 pupils: The GCSE speaking exams for French and Spanish run from the 15th of April until the 25th of April. Your child has been given a personalised time slot for their exam by their teacher. Please ensure that your child is in school and on time, as this is an official GCSE exam and will count towards their final grade. Thank you for your support, Miss Velasco Tapia, Head of MFL department.
We are delighted to be able to share with parents and carers our latest Ofsted Report following the two-day inspection.

At Holte School governors, parents, staff, and students are “dedicated to learning as the foundation for life”. We are able to deliver this shared vision by focusing on our core values embedded throughout our school and underpinning students’ and staff experiences:
We require that our students make a difference within our school and wider community through outstanding attendance and punctuality, exemplary behaviour, uniform and organisation and through demonstrating our core values at all times. Indeed it is through collaboration, respect, aspiration, equality and responsibility that, we nurture a cohesive ethos that inspires excellence and success.
Our school promotes and protects the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC). The following articles underline our vision and values statement and form the basis of our school Charter, determined by our Unicef Ambassadors:
We want all of our students to develop spiritually, morally, socially and culturally. We want them to develop deep factual knowledge; to know about the physical world, their history, culture and current affairs as well as the world of art and literature. We expect them to explore ideas, to learn how to ask good questions and to engage in debate. We also place great importance on their ability to communicate their ideas; to stand up in front of others to speak; to make things with their hands and with digital technology and to work collaboratively.
We are a highly inclusive school community where every individual matters. The community that we serve is blessed with a rich diversity of languages, cultures and faiths, and it is a credit to our school that, together, we learn how to embrace and respect each other’s identity. We have superb pastoral support systems and take a strong stand on tackling discrimination and prejudice and promoting equality. This is a school where students of every ethnic background, boys and girls, student with disabilities or special educational needs are celebrated and thrive equally.
Through outstanding teaching, inspirational opportunities, exceptional learning and loving and caring relationships we open minds and develop unique individuals at Holte School. Students and staff have the best possible environment in which to achieve, progress, learn and thrive. They are positively focused, determined and demonstrate respect for all. We are at the heart of our local community, a school in which all students, parents, staff, stakeholders and partners believe in the limitless potential of people and learning as the foundation of life.”
