Holyrood Secondary School

Holyrood Secondary School is a community that puts the Catholic Faith at the heart of all we do. We foster a nurturing environment that not only strives for excellence but one that ensures all our young people feel cared for, valued and included. We treat each other with respect, we celebrate diversity and we are proud of each other’s achievements. We challenge ourselves to learn and grow, always aspiring to make our community and World a better place for all.

Our Sustainability Team make up the Eco Committee and have been driving forward initiatives for the last 18 months. It is made up of pupils from all year groups and anyone is welcome to join. We meet once a term and spend the rest of the time carrying out our initiatives. Recent initiatives have included the reusable plastic bottle campaign, whole school recycling, the Christmas Jumper Appeal and outdoor activities. We received amazing feedback from Keeping Scotland Beautiful (KSB) and our Green Flag status lasts for two years.

We place the Catholic Faith at the heart of our culturally inclusive community. Our school provides a safe and nurturing environment where we work together to ensure all young people have an equal chance to reach their fullest potential. We strive to provide consistently excellent learning and teaching within a curriculum designed to promote lifelong learning, positive destinations and better lives for all.
