DUNEHA (Dubai & Northern Emirates Homeschooling Association)
An association of homeschoolers who home-school for many different reasons, but with a shared goal to fan the spark, the desire to learn, that all children are born with. They seek to provide a nurturing and loving environment to facilitate that learning. Toward this end DUNEHA strives to be open-minded, tolerant, and tactful. The aim is to be aware of and responsive to the needs of others in the group. The desire is to provide a source of support, inspiration, and friendship for members of all homeschooling families in the area.
ADHSA (Abu Dhabi Homeschoolers Association)
ADHSA is a volunteer group of homeschoolers from different nationalities, faiths, cultures and homeschooling backgrounds, with its primary focus being to address the needs of children from grade 1 through high school. GHEC (Global Home Education Conference)
The GHEC is a three-day event that brings together those with an interest in freedom of education, and home education in particular, to provide a stimulating environment to gather the best cross-section of research and to cultivate a commitment to parent-directed education. Home education highlights the most crucial factors in the freedom of education discussion. Who is responsible for education? What role do parents play in the education of their children? To what extent is the state responsible for education of children?

Clonlara School
Pat Montgomery, PhD, and her husband, Jim, founded Clonlara School in 1967. The vision was to create a school where children of all creeds, races and ages would learn and grow in an unhurried, relaxed atmosphere; where enrollment would be a limited number of students so that the children, staff and parents would all get to know one another; and where parents would share intimately in the life of the school and in the education of the children.
iCademy Middle East
iCademy Middle East is an accredited, private online school for students in Kindergarten through to Grade 12 and licensed by the KHDA. All students are fully supported by qualified and committed teachers, counsellors and academic coaches. Mathnasium
Mathnasium is a leading international franchise founded in 2000 and currently is present in 15 countries with over 700 learning centres worldwide dedicated to boosting student’s math skills. Mathnasium is highly specialised — teaches only math and targets pre-K through to 12th grade students. The approach revolves around the assumption that children do not hate math, they simply resent the intimidation that comes with not understanding the subject. In Mathnasium, math is taught in a way that makes sense to children following a proprietary methodology and curriculum (the Mathnasium Method:tm:) developed continuously fine-tuned by Larry Martinek, Mathnasium’s Chief Instructional Officer, a teacher and a math consultant in the Los Angeles area for the past 30+ years.
MetaMindz
Metamindz is a KHDA-approved learning and enrichment center that offers after-school, supplementary learning to students ages 6 and above. Metamindz recently partnered with GEMS schools to offer ASA activities in Math and English. The program begins with an adaptive diagnostic that measures a student’s strengths and gaps in different sub-domains of the given subject. Based on the diagnostic and student’s learning needs, a personalized learning path is designed. Instructional path encompasses two components; face to face with the teacher plus worksheets and computer-based activities. Each session focuses on one area using a multi-media approach. The program used by MetaMindz for Math and English is used by over 3 million students internationally and is a complete K-8 curriculum for instruction and K-12 curriculum for diagnostics. Also on offer are Science, Mobile App Design and 3D printing classes. SAT/ACT prep is also offered at MetaMindz.
