Job Summary
The post holders will be located within the Upskilling for Industry 4.0: Wales – Advanced Manufacturing
(I4.0:Wales) project which is a pan Wales project funded through the European Social Fund (ESF). I4.0 is one of a suite of EU funded projects which have been developed by the University of Wales. Trinity Saint David (UWTSD) and addresses the impact of Industry 4.0 from a technological and training perspective.
Education and Qualifications
Essential
- An honours degree in a relevant discipline
- A postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline, or appropriate industrial experience.
Desirable
- A PhD in a relevant discipline
- Membership of a relevant professional body or teaching qualification
Experience,knowledge and skills
Essential
- Experience in teaching, delivery, assessment and student support at undergraduate and postgraduate level in relevant subject area
- Experience in one or more of the following areas, Advanced Manufacturing, Mechatronics, Robotic Applications, Control Systems, PLC programming, Cyber-security, Industrial Internet of Things, Data analytics and Programming
- Demonstrable ongoing commitment to professional enhancement, scholarship and/ or research and project work
- Effective organisational and personal management skills
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
Desirable
- Experience in the design and development of module content
- Experience of supervising postgraduate and research students
- Experience of undertaking skills gaps or similar analysis in a business setting and advising on appropriate solutions
The University of Wales Trinity Saint David System will transform the delivery of higher education and training in Wales.
