Hudson College is a co-educational, non-denominational private school offering a balanced curriculum from Kindergarten through to University/College entrance. Situated on a 4.5 acre campus in central Toronto, Hudson is dedicated to developing the whole child - academically, socially, and emotionally - in a safe and nurturing environment.
Our goal is to challenge every student to reach their maximum potential, and to equip every student with the skills and values they need to attain personal and academic success in the future.
At Hudson College, we encourage all students to do one thing above everything else: be yourself. We understand that all students have their own unique stories, distinct viewpoints and ideas, interests, family backgrounds, challenges, and ambitions, and we value and celebrate everyone’s individuality.
We strive to enable students to express fully who they are and explore what they like to do and offer many paths to take, so that each student may find the right course of study and interests unique to them—from the arts and sciences to technology and athletics.
Hudson is deeply committed to helping each, individual student fulfill their true potential and we encourage students to be intellectually curious and express who they are. From our integrated, balanced curriculum and engaging, supportive environment to our inspiring teachers—we offer students enriching opportunities to discover, collaborate, and grow at every grade level. We guide students through each stage of their journey—from Kindergarten through Grade 12.
From a student’s first day of school, they’ll immediately find that Hudson is a diverse, inclusive, safe, and welcoming place. We believe that when we all stand together, we’re balanced and united. Our vibrant environment encourages everyone to be themselves, which helps everyone respect the uniqueness of others.
In addition, Hudson offers students extra support when needed—whether a student needs help studying for a biology quiz or if they want to talk about life in general. Our support networks and programs are for everyone—from lunch-time or after-school tutoring to workshops, daily guided study (for Grade 9 and 10), one-on-one personal counselling support, the Laptop Program, and the Teacher Advisory Program (which, as part of our House System, helps students gauge their success in school—beyond academics).
For more than 15 years, Hudson has been dedicated to developing the whole child—intellectually, emotionally, socially—so that they become a caring, responsible, and productive member of the global community. We offer an exceptional education with unique educational options for students so they can create their own path.
Parents choose Hudson College because we believe that a dynamic education sparks a lifelong enthusiasm for learning. Co-founder Jeff Bavington is committed to making Hudson “…a place where students with all different interests can feel as if they’re a part of a unified, larger community…where students themselves can help create the school environment in which they wish to be a part of.”
We consider the needs and goals of each individual student and support your child every step of the way. Their academic journey and the path they take is very important to us. We want them to be fully prepared and successful in school…and in life.
Our multicultural school population provides the same stimulating environment our students will experience later on in university and business life. We value diversity and find our students are enriched by meeting and learning with other young people from around the world. If you are seeking a school where the focus is on individualized learning, in small class settings, provided by knowledgeable, supportive teachers, in a safe and secure environment, then you will want to attend Hudson College.
The first years of school are for exploring, investigating, growing, and inspiring a love of learning. Hudson’s Kindergarten Program is an exceptional start to your child’s educational journey, as we see our youngest learners as intellectually powerful, naturally inquisitive, and innately creative.
Our classes keep pace with their energy and curiosity, promoting experiential learning as well as establishing a solid foundation for students’ future academic success. Hudson values the enthusiasm of our youngest students, and every child is encouraged to share their thoughts and ideas while engaging in collaborative activities and problem-solving.
Hudson’s Middle School Program encourages students to achieve academic excellence and reach their full potential by engaging them in challenging academic and co-curricular activities that enable them to become more independent. Smaller class sizes lend themselves to more concentrated, differentiated instruction, so that teachers can meet the individual, educational needs of each student. In Middle School, Learner Profiles are developed and leveraged by Hudson teachers to determine where students are in their learning, what interests their group of students, and how their students best demonstrate new skills and knowledge.
