Hurstpierpoint College is a thriving co-educational day and boarding school for pupils from 4 to 18 years of age. We offer places to day pupils and boarders. Our flexi and weekly boarding options are popular with pupils from the local area as well as further afield.
The College is ideally situated in the Sussex countryside between Haywards Heath and Brighton, and is within easy reach of London by train. We offer extensive transport services across Sussex, Surrey and Kent, including a chaperoned weekly return train service from Clapham Junction.

Hurstpierpoint College was founded by Nathaniel Woodard in August 1849 and is part of the Woodard Corporation. St John’s Middle Grammar School, as it was named at the time, was based in a cottage in Star Lane, Shoreham with just two boys as pupils. As the school grew it was transferred to The Mansion House in Hurstpierpoint Village, West Sussex in 1850. Hurst is a thriving, co-educational day and boarding school for pupils age 4-18 situated in the West Sussex countryside.
