IB Curriculum Teacher

Responsibilities

• Design, prepare and deliver high quality science lessons to suit the individual needs of all students
• Inspire mixed culture and ability classes, by creating challenging yet inclusive and engaging learning opportunities for all
• Assess and monitor student achievement and progress in a way that helps teaching and learning to improve incessantly
• Collaborate with other teachers to deliver an interdisciplinary curriculum and share new ideas, approaches and professional knowledge
• Communicate accurately and regularly with parents
• Liaise with the Head of Middle School to ensure effective delivery of the curriculum to specified classes, including selecting resources and managing them efficiently in the classroom
• Contribute to the extra-curricular activities programme and participate in school activities such as assemblies, evening events, conferences
• Assume responsibility for the pastoral care of a class of students, paying particular attention to personal development and child protection

Position & Qualification

• Science Degree and/or Professional Teaching Qualification for Secondary Science
• International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum
• Secondary Teacher of Science

Essential

• Native French speaker
• Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience
• Recent IB- MYP experience and understanding of programme developments
