Insworld Institute was established in 2000 to provide local and international students in Singapore with the opportunity to study a curriculum that prepares them to sit for exams and acquire internationally-recognised academic qualifications. The Pearson Edexcel curriculum is the most suitable curriculum for Insworld students, as its international exams (Lower Secondary, International GCSE and International A-Level) are designed to meet the needs of the international student. In particular, the Pearson Edexcel International A-Level exams are modular rather than linear in design; an approach which can result in less stress and anxiety for the student while maintaining academic standards.
Insworld believes that teaching in small classes gives students the meaningful opportunity to extend their knowledge quickly and accurately. This is central to the way we work. We are able to cater for the needs of each individual learner while maintaining a proper focus on academic progress and exam success. Small classes also give students opportunities to develop the qualities of integrity, independence and empathy that will enable them to pursue their future goals with greater confidence and self-assurance.
Insworld Institute is a private school in Singapore offering programmes taught exclusively in English for local and international students. Our range of programmes includes pre-high school courses such as Edexcel International Tuition Programme (an International Lower Secondary Programme), and English for Academic Study. We also prepare students for Pearson Edexcel International Advanced Level, GCE A-Level, and IGCSE examinations. All our curriculums are British-based and are benchmarked to UK standards.
British qualifications such as A-Level and IGCSE are recognized as valid qualifications by all universities in Singapore, the UK, and Australia, as well as leading international universities. Local and international students who have studied A-Levels at Insworld Institute have gone on to study subjects such as Medicine and Engineering at some of the world’s most prestigious international universities.
Insworld is a private school in Singapore. This gives us the freedom to organize our work in the way we think best matches our students’ needs. For this reason we choose only to work with small classes (4-12 students). This allows us to focus on the learning needs of each student as an individual, while maintaining a proper classroom dynamic and a clear focus on academic objectives.
As a private school in Singapore, we can determine our own approach to how we work with our students. Our aim is to combine the best of Asian and Western approaches to education. We want to encourage students to be active participants in every lesson at every level, while maintaining a disciplined focus on key learning objectives. What sets us apart from other private schools in Singapore is that we can, and do, adapt our work to suit the ways our students study. We know our students better, so we know better exactly what they need to learn and how to help them learn it.
Insworld offers high levels of support for students outside the classroom. We appoint a Personal Tutor for each student who will monitor all aspects of that student’s progress. Students meet their Personal Tutors every week. This is an important opportunity to give the school feedback, and to raise concerns. This is very important for international students who may be new to studying in Singapore and the way Insworld chooses to work. We can also arrange, at no extra cost, one-to-one sessions with subject teachers if a student needs extra support with a particular aspect of their study.
As a result, students learn quickly and efficiently. This can mean a significant saving in cost and time. At the same time, their passions and strengths are recognised and nurtured to full potential in our diverse community. Insworld students gain an international perspective on the issues around them through interacting with other unique individuals from a variety of backgrounds.
Insworld is a diverse multinational community of learning. We have local and international students working together in an inclusive and empathetic atmosphere. Our aim is to promote interest, engagement and respect for other people and other cultures, as our students work together to prepare for the next stage of their education either in Singapore or internationally. To date, we have had students from over 45 different nationalities. Our commitment to a diverse and empathetic community equips students with the capabilities to be tolerant, receptive and accepting towards people of different cultures and traditions.
Insworld actively encourages its teachers to promote key aspects of social, moral and cultural development within the context of lessons as well as in and around the school. We want to be more than a good school for IGCSE or A-Level education. We want to be a community in which our key values of integrity, social responsibility, diversity and leadership are upheld and promoted. We see this as an essential part of education in Singapore.

I feel, the Pearson Edexcel IAL programme is a simplier, more straightforward curriculum compared to the IB and the Singapore A levels. Coupled with the teacher’s expertise and patience in guiding each student through the course, my journey in Insworld has been positive. Academics aside, Insworld has given me opportunity to lead the Student Council as President, with the autonomy to organise and manage multiple meetings and events. I also appreciate the support and advice regarding university entry I have received.

I truly enjoyed my time at Insworld because of the amazing teachers I had, who were no doubt crucial in enabling me to ace my A-levels. The small classes and personal environment made me feel at home in school and allowed me to develop positive relationships with teachers and friends.

We are very grateful to have been part of the Insworld family. Their friendly approach and continuous support have been remarkable. Special thanks to our son’s academic mentor, whose enthusiasm and guidance kept him motivated.
Our son excelled in his A level studies and achieved excellent result. As a result of that he has gained more confidence to pursue his passion in engineering and he’s qualified to apply a college in USA, the one he has always wanted to join.

My journey at Insworld was unique. Unlike other students, I had to study online until the end of the course due to the political circumstances in my country. So it was a virtual experience for me, and I missed all the extracurricular activities. Leaving that behind, the educational support of the Insworld community was immense. The teachers were expert in their fields, and I always felt involved in class discussions, personal tutoring sessions and even practicals. With excellent guidance for my university application, what more could I ask for? I started attending Insworld with huge doubts about my IALs. Now, I have finished with the best grades achievable.

I joined Insworld Institute just 6 months before sitting for my A levels. It was a lot to take in as I had to re-do previous exams due to a change in syllabus. However, the teachers were very, very supportive and patient with me. I don’t think I could have asked for a better school environment, and I’m grateful to the teachers and the non-teaching staff for their support throughout.

My son took the IAL at Insworld Institute. The teachers and staff are very helpful and the smaller sized classes helped in my son getting good support and attention. The teaching is good and weekly tests and reports sent to parents contributed to him doing well in his A Levels.

One of the things I really like about Insworld Institute are the small class sizes. It allows the teacher to personally address the concerns and questions of each individual student during classes rather than having to gloss over them. It allows for a closer and more effective student-teacher relationship, which really helps us students in studying for our exams.

Insworld’s diversed yet small class sizes help each student to receive a broader perception of the world whilst also receiving the attention they require from their teachers to achieve their own academic objectives. On top of that, Insworld’s closely knit culture allows for many ideas to be passed from older students, giving all the opportunity to make lasting memories with others as wells as make a meaningful contribution towards the school’s community. Insworld has been a place for many, including myself, to grow holistically and I am truly glad to have spent my time furthering myself there.
