One World International School is a non-denominational school that welcomes students of all cultures, ethnicities and religions. We provide a truly diverse learning environment and deliver a highly personalised education nurturing all aspects of a child’s development at a moderate fee point.
As one of the fastest growing schools in Singapore, we have become a popular choice among expat families. Our values-driven school promotes and nurtures academic excellence through compassion, integrity and commitment. Our arts, sports and service programmes are all mindfully-intertwined to develop the whole child.
With a student population of over 70 nationalities in 3 different campuses (OWIS Nanyang in Jurong, OWIS Digital Campus in Punggol and OWIS Newton) in Singapore, we believe in providing a world-class, multi-cultural and moderately-priced education to all students with an emphasis on kindness, collaboration, creativity and service to others.
OWIS Nanyang Campus
The learning spaces at OWIS Nanyang are thoughtfully designed to create an optimal educational environment. The classrooms are bright and spacious, allowing for a collaborative and engaging learning experience. Technology-enabled learning devices in all classrooms help students to grasp new concepts through the use of multimedia content.
Beyond the traditional classroom, OWIS Nanyang offers ample areas for outdoor learning, PE and recreation, enabling students to enjoy time in our open spaces. The campus also features dedicated spaces for art, music, and sports, along with well-equipped science labs. These specialised areas support a wide range of curricular and extracurricular activities, encouraging creativity, scientific inquiry, and physical well-being.
OWIS Digital Campus in Punggol
One World International School (OWIS) Digital Campus is a state-of-the-art, purpose-built school campus, designed to foster overall development while ensuring excellent academic outcomes. With innovative learning spaces and a technology-enabled learning approach, OWIS Digital Campus stands at the forefront of modern education.
The campus houses exciting skills studios, world-class sports facilities and interactive classrooms providing a future-focussed learning environment for students. Embracing the same inclusive ethos as OWIS Nanyang, it welcomes students from all cultures, ethnicities and religions.
OWIS Newton
OWIS Newton is our newest centrally located campus designed for younger learners from Early Childhood to Grade 5. The campus offers bright, flexible learning spaces that support inquiry-based learning and collaboration in a nurturing environment. Age-appropriate activity areas encourage interaction, creativity and a strong sense of belonging among students.
Through our kindness-led education model at the kindergarten to primary level, students embark on a learning journey that nurtures their curiosity and sets them on the path to success in higher grades.
Student Life at OWIS
At One World International School, we provide a harmonious and collaborative environment that supports our students and gives them opportunities to develop inside and outside the classroom. Kindness is one of our core values at OWIS – we emphasise a kindness-driven learning place, where we teach our children to be compassionate, empathetic and tolerant.
Curricula and Academic programmes at OWIS
OWIS Nanyang and OWIS Digital Campus provide internationally recognised curricula such as the IB PYP (International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme), the Cambridge IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) and the IBDP (International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme). OWIS Newton Campus will follow the same pathway and is a candidate school for the IB PYP. OWIS Newton is pursuing authorisation as an IB World School.
Early Childhood Programme
For our Early childhood students from EC1 to EC3 (ages 3-6), we offer the IB PYP with a “Early Years” component, tailored to the academic, emotional and social needs of students taking their first steps into education.
With a maximum class size of 18 students per class, our inquiry-based learning programme features play-based learning activities, sensory activities and imaginative play areas that allow children to learn through play, along with more formal activities, offering an important balance between self-inquiry and structured learning.
Primary School
For our Primary students from Grades 1-5 (age 7-11), our teachers use the IB PYP framework, underpinned by the English National Curriculum, to focus on conceptual learning through inquiry where students can lead the direction of some of the learning, guided and assisted by the teacher.
We place a lot of emphasis on student agency that means that the learner is placed at the centre of learning and continuous assessment that recognises student’s individual accomplishments, empowering them to excel beyond what they think is possible.
Secondary School
For our Secondary students aged 12-18, we offer an academically rigorous secondary school curriculum based on the modified Cambridge curriculum for Grades 6 to 8 and the Cambridge IGCSE for Grades 9 -10. We offer the globally recognised IB Diploma Programme for Grades 11 and 12.
Our IGCSE programme is adapted for our international population. Inquiry learning and our emphasis on multicultural appreciation continue in secondary school, culminating with 9 subject specific IGCSEs in Grades 9 and 10.
The IB DP, offered to our Grade 11 and 12 students, is highly regarded by prestigious universities throughout the world and prepares young adults for the rigours of higher education and success in a global workforce.
Learning Programmes at OWIS
Besides academics, our other learning programmes at OWIS include Languages, Arts, Sports, Music and Outdoor learning. Our students take part in field trips, residential visits and CAS (Creativity, Activity and Service) trips in addition to learning in outdoor spaces as a part of their curriculum.
Moderate fee structure
At OWIS, we strive to provide our community with an equitable education. We are committed to bringing that vision to life, and many families have found that One World International School offers a world-class education at a fee that is more moderate than many other international schools in Singapore.
OWIS is part of the Global Schools Group that was founded in 2002 with the goal of providing high-quality, affordable education to students in global communities around the world. GSG operates more than 63 schools in 11 different countries.
In February 2023, OWIS was awarded a 4-year EduTrust certification, under the EduTrust Certification Scheme administered by the Committee for Private Education, Singapore (CPE).
