Established in 1996, The International School of Kuantan (ISK) is a private international school and is the only international school in Kuantan that provides quality education to elementary, middle and high school students based on the curriculum and practices of public and private schools in the United States of America. English is used as the medium of instruction to prepare students for admission to university. Graduates of ISK's have been accepted to prestigious colleges and universities around the world.
ISK offers its graduates an American High School Diploma, fully-accredited through the Western Association of Schools and College (WASC). In most cases, graduates with an American High School Diploma, in conjunction with the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT), are able to bypass intermediary schooling, such as a foundation year or A-levels, and enter directly into Bachelor Degree programs. Our graduates have successfully gained entrance into prestigious universities in the United States and Canada, Australia, Europe, and throughout Asia.
Our aim at ISK is to provide a challenging and rewarding education to all of our students through a rigorous and demanding American curriculum, while ensuring that they are ready to meet head-on the challenges that lay ahead, whether it be at university or as responsible adults.
We are a small family-oriented school and a close-knit community of learners. Our size enables us to give personal attention to each and every one of our members throughout their journey with us. Our small size does not, however, preclude us from offering a wide range of subjects, activities and events that help enrich the students’ lives academically, personally and emotionally.
We are international in both philosophy and approach; we strive to ensure that students fully embrace the values and culture of not only Malaysia but the cultures from each of the 14 nationalities represented at our school. This is most evident in our Anchor Values that permeate school life both in and out of the classroom. We are the CLIPPERS, our mascot is a clipper and we are proud to have our values instilled throughout the school.
ISK upholds to an international standard of education and this is evidenced through our accreditation by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), an American accrediting association for schools throughout the world. ISK continually strives to not only maintain but improve itself. To this end, we are a member of the East Asia Regional Council of Schools (EARCOS) and it is through this organization that we train, learn and grow amongst our greater community.

When I came to ISK during the open day, there were free consultations for students on prospects of studying overseas, batik canting workshops by the students, a drawing competition, and even a blood donation drive as well.I havent heard much about this school before, but the facilities are quite impressive. I would recommend those staying in Kuantan, or even parents in Kerteh or Terengganu to consider sending their children to study here as ISK is merely a stone throw away, and it provides good value, basically good education on par with international standards and requirements, for an affordable price.

I attended the ISK open day last Saturday and frankly, I was thoroughly impressed .We were greeted at the main entrance (which had a food sale that was offering various freshly cooked scrumptious goods) and guided by the present students to the hall located on the 1st floor. Personally , I think their buildings have really solid, sound, infrastrure as well as really impressive top notch facilities.Their hall has bleachers seats, just like the typical american schools we see in movies!
Would definitely consider sending my child here when the time comes
