International School of Oman

The International School of Oman (ISO) commenced its journey in September 2008 under the management of EDUGATES® International.

Initially catering to students from Kindergarten to Grade 7, the institution expanded to encompass classes up to Grade 12 starting from the 2013-2014 academic year. Celebrating the recent graduation of our 10th batch of seniors marks a significant milestone in our history.

In its inception, ISO welcomed students at a temporary, spacious campus in Madinat Al I’lam. However, in September 2021, it made a pivotal move to a cutting-edge, brand-new campus situated in Bawsher.

Originally offering a comprehensive American Curriculum, ISO transitioned to the Omani Bilingual General Education Diploma curriculum from the academic year 2013-2014. Subsequently, in the academic year 2014-2015, ISO introduced the Cambridge IGCSE, Advanced Subsidiary, and Advanced Level Syllabi. This evolution broadened the educational offerings available to our students.

International School of Oman was established with the interests of the local population of Muscat in mind, aiming at providing them with an excellent education. ISO adopts the mission of “Graduating moral, cultured world citizens, who possess the zeal and skills for lifelong learning and who are eager and capable of contributing positively to their societies”.
