Fondly known as ISS, our school is British at its heart and achieves outstanding academic results across all ages. Our school was founded in 2007 and is located on a beautiful tropical Island with fresh air, space and tranquility; it is an idyllic location to live, work and bring up children.
We employ native English speaking, bachelor degree or above, fully qualified subject specialist teachers, and by choice we operate small class sizes, with spacious classrooms and high quality facilities, providing a school environment highly conducive to learning.
We were founded and built by a British family, we are independently owned by a British family, and we have extensive links and historical connections with schools and universities in Great Britain and around the world.
Our outstanding academic program, high level of pastoral care, and rich program of extra curricular activities enable our students to experience the very best in what a traditional British school can, and should, offer.
We strive for a positive ‘can do’ mentality throughout the school encouraging our students to love learning and endeavour to be the best they can be. We know that each child brings their own identity, interests and passions to our close, family community. We believe that children who are secure in themselves will be able to confidently express who they really are and honesty, integrity, kindness, tolerance and inclusivity are some of the values we hold dear. We push the boundaries of aspiration, taking measured risks, whilst always considering how our actions affect others.
Learning, in its many forms, is at the heart of all we do and our inspirational and experienced teachers support each student in achieving their best possible outcomes. We want our students to be independent, intellectually curious, creative problem-solvers who can communicate effectively and work with others to address challenging problems. We are proud of being a progressive, forward-looking school which provides an outstanding all-round education. We believe that each student should feel known, valued and understood as we work tirelessly to ensure that our students leave ISS equipped to thrive in an ever changing world.
The International School of Samui offers an Internationally recognised standard of education which follows the famous British Independent School model. The school follows the British Curriculum supported by the University of Cambridge curriculum programmes, and has a very strong emphasis on giving every child the chance to shine.
We offer an extensive and stimulating curriculum covering a wide range of subjects and skills, as well as a comprehensive programme of after school activities, school trips, and excursions. Everything the school does is designed to make learning enjoyable and to give every child the opportunity to develop a sense of confidence in themselves.

What a great school! We went there to see it for our friends who are planning to move to Samui soon. School facilities are very good, very clean, well equipped classes. Looks like a very professional running school. I have some friends who's children are at ISS and they say many good things about the school, I can see their children growing happy and getting good education.

Over 12 years of schooling for my older one and 1 to go, 8 for my daughter and very happy with the kids, well rounded, nurtured and balanced. The school keeps improving facilities from year to year and excellent extra curricular activities as well.

My twins have started their school life at ISS in Early Years and Reception. ISS has offered them a kind, safe and playful learning space in which they were able to develop themselves. As a vegan family we were met with appreciation and acceptance for which I am very grateful. Outstanding teachers, beautiful clean premises and one of the things I really liked as well is that it's relatively small which makes that both children and parents easily get to know each other and feel home.

My older son study here already for more then 7 years starting from Early Year. This is great school! It gives rather good education for kids, in a very good environment and facilities. My kids are happy to go there and they really enjoying school! Some people would suggest it is expensive, but compare with the other truly international schools in Thailand, price is much lower. I'm pleased that my kids can study at ISS and enjoy their happy childhood and meanwhile get good education!

Our son attended ISS for five years, from reception through to year 4, and absolutely loved it. There is no better testament than a child who loves to get up in the morning and go to school.
As parents we were thrilled to find a school that provided an excellent education incorporating challenging curriculum in a nurturing and supportive environment. The school continued to grow and improve over each of the five years we were there, expanding and improving the facilities and adding extracurricular activities and music programs to be on par with the most reputable private schools found in much larger cities.
The school is owned and run by a family that truly cares about the welfare and future of the children. They personally take on projects to ensure the children receive the most well rounded educational and extracurricular experience during these formative years- from organizing raffles to support the sports teams trips abroad or hosting culturally diverse holiday celebrations to creating amazing theatrical or musical events each year. We were supposed to be on Koh Samui for a two year contract but extended three more years simply because we loved the school so much! So sad to be moving on!

My son has been going to ISS for over 7 years now. He started in the nursery school and is now in year 7. He has had great teachers and the staff management at the school have been kind and professional. He has progressed wonderfully and I wouldn't have him in any other school on the island. Keep up the great work ISS!

Our grandson has attended ISS since he was 18 months old and now at 11 years of age I would like to share the benefits of his time with ISS. The positive effect on his strength of character, outgoing personality and kindness & consideration to others - as well as a firm footing in academia & future university goal - is significantly due to his teachers, staff and the overall environment at the International School of Samui. Over years of observing and interacting with many ISS students I and my family can honestly say we've not witnessed such a dedicated educational team and well adjusted students. And, happy as well! It's also a huge plus that the owners and staff continuously look to finding new challenges, academic growth and new sports and arts programs to benefit students!

Great opportunity for our children to have an excellent international education in Koh Samui! Our daughter was granted a scholarship at ISS last year and she is just delighted with this great opportunity given to her. And her motivation for studying has increased tremendously in the process. THANK YOU ISS :)

We have quite some experiences with international schools in different countries. ISS is truly the best school my kids have been to so far. Everyone is very friendly and helpful, stuff is very well educated. Every child gets seen, no bullying is occurring, engaged teachers and a very high degree of digitalization. Perfect school!
