The foundation of the IST curriculum is in its five values: Curiosity, Devotion, Honesty, Growth and Fun. Each action taken at IST has its roots in these values, which are further realized into the Personal Goals at the Primary campus, and the Learner Profile at the Secondary Campus.

Our mission is to provide excellent international primary and secondary education to students from diverse backgrounds. IST’s vision is constructed around the pillars Global Citizens, Inquisitive Learners and Community School:

• We offer our students essential stepping stones to learn to become a successful and happy global citizen.
• We aim to develop inquisitive minds that have a love for learning and therefore excel in academic and personal achievements.
• We cultivate a school community to provide our students with an inclusive and caring environment within which they can build strong friendships that will last throughout their international lifetime.

IST plans to offer a bilingual (Dutch and English) pre school to meet the educational and care needs of our parent community. This preschool will be run in coordination with Humankind, a local dutch day care provider, with a native speakers of both English and Dutch as staff. While registration for the program will be open to both the international and dutch community, only children who meet the admission requirements will be accepted into Primary school at IST.

Our Primary campus offers education for students aged 4-11. We work with the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) alongside the National Curriculum for England, offering an exciting thematic approach that integrates essential parts of the curriculum into a meaningful context for teaching. In July 2016, the school was accredited by the IPC , making it the third fully-accredited IPC school in The Netherlands.

Our secondary school offers international education in English to students aged 11-18. IST Secondary works with the Cambridge International Secondary Curriculum and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. Our graduating students leave IST with an IBDP diploma which grants them access to universities globally. We are proud to have a 100% pass rate in 2 consecutive years.
