IP Transport Design Specialist Professional

Job Summary

• Provide technical design solutions for concerned network services for dimensioning in line with the business requirements.
• Develop low-level design (in cooperation with respective Engineering) covering coverage and capacity objectives validation, traffic models, propagation model, dimensioning of interfaces, etc.
• Evaluate the existing design and develop optimised design solutions for IP Transport network based on service/capacity requests.
• Integrate the progressive agenda into the delivery schedule of Network implementation (network release and project schedules and associated budgets).
• Evaluate the complaints / requests & detailed capacity or coverage studies from network optimization for site/ coverage expansion, and provide design specification to meet the expansion requests.
• Support the forecasting of long- and short-term Network requirements, link budget in accordance with technology roadmap and expansion demand.
• Cooperate with and support the NW Operation team to achieve most efficient operation.
• Recognize and support the technical design efforts for upgrade to new NW solutions in terms of SW and new features.
• Work with vendors/consultants/contractors in network solution innovation and give technical assistance to other departments as regards the network plan and design to ensure adherence to quality parameters and standards.
• Submit periodic reports on current status of network design with the view to improve the Architecture Planning progressive agenda with respect to network technology
• Assist and participate in RFQs/RFPs committees’ activities to ensure offers meet Mobily’s needs in the sphere of Network.
• Perform other duties as required by higher levels of supervision.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Telecommunications or equivalent from an accredited university
