We are a French Graduate School of Agriculture and Bioengineering offering undergraduate courses and master’s programs with majors in Agricultural Science, Food Science, Environmental Science and Economics, Marketing & Management, both in French and in English.

Created in 1963, ISA Lille’s campus is part of Lille Catholic University, the largest private higher education institution in France, with 26,000 full-time students and 2,500 international students.

ISA Lille is recognized and accredited by the Commission des Titres d’Ingénieur (Committee of French Engineer Titles) and by the French Ministries of Education and Agriculture.

In addition to our academic programs and research activities, ISA Lille offers consulting activities to local companies as well as global leaders in the sectors of agriculture, food industry and environment in France and abroad.

Thinking differently has been at the heart of ISA Lille’s DNA for 50 years. At ISA, we are training future managers who cultivate innovation, entrepreneurship, curiosity and open-mindedness throughout their studies. Our graduates must be able to face the environmental, agricultural, economical and sustenance challenges of an ever-changing world.

Because all of our students are different, each of them can build their own curricula from a personalized orientation and a tailor-made program.

We are proud of our unique school spirit, so we want to continue to be there for our students every step of the way; from their studies to their entry into the professional world and throughout their career.

Most of all, being an ISA graduate means being able to solve problems, manage men and women and innovate, always keeping in mind a global perspective.

ISA Lille offers programs in Agriculture and Bioengineering, taught in English or French. Students may study fundamental life sciences in our undergraduate courses or several majors at the graduate level in Agricultural Science, Food Science, Environmental Science and Agricultural Economics and Marketing.

All of our programs combine both theoretical teaching and practical work. Our teaching methods are based on active learning in order to match the reality of the professional sector, allowing our graduates to enter the job market quickly and efficiently. The active learning approach is based on practical work in labs, case studies, industrial projects, internships in companies, field visits and more.

In every ISA program, professional immersions (internships and industrial projects) are compulsory and fully integrated into the curriculum. In addition, our programs include project management and intercultural activities to help students develop their abilities to work in a multicultural team and reinforce interdisciplinary skills.

First of all, ISA Lille’s goal is to train our graduates to be capable of meeting the needs of transnational businesses and responding to the realities of international markets.

ISA is located in an ideal location in the heart of the campus of Lille Catholic University close to the Parc de la Citadelle, Lille city center and Old Lille.

ISA Lille delivers a French National Agricultural Engineering degree which is recognized internationally as a Master of Science and Engineering degree by our accrediting institute, Commission des Titres d’Ingénieur, (CTI).

Our graduate programs are taught in French, English or a combination of both languages. All programs are open to exchange students from our partner universities.

Students pursuing a Master choose from one of four different majors to specialize their area of expertise in Agricultural Science, Environmental Science, Food Science, or Agricultural Economics and Marketing.

First, the fundamental objective of this program is to have a general overview of Agricultural Science. Courses range from food chain theory and crop management to livestock and plant production. Although this general approach is taught through its technical and scientific aspects, it is also crucial to include economic, sociological and ethical aspects to comprehend the notion of sustainability in agricultural.

The Admissions period at ISA Lille is from October to May each year, for the following academic year beginning in September. Students are encouraged to apply as soon as possible to allow enough time to complete the admission process and visa procedure, if applicable.
