JM is a Lebanese nonprofit Catholic school registered with the Lebanese Ministry of Education. It provides education from Kindergarten to Grade 12 and follows the Lebanese curriculum. JM students sit for the Lebanese Official Brevet and Baccalaureate Examinations (Life Sciences, General Sciences, and Sociology and Economics) at the end of Grades 9 and 12 respectively.

Anchored in Faithfulness, Yearning For Excellence. The Jesus and Mary School, a Christian Center of Education, wholeheartedly embraces the education of the whole person, and actively participates in maximizing the learner's potential. The Jesus & Mary, a trilingual school, aims to nurture young men and women who are vessels of the Christian living Faith, responsible Lebanese citizens, and committed individuals to excellence. J.M. graduates are distinguished adults, role models in society, and dedicated advocates of justice and peace.

Systematically enriched by the contribution of each of its members (teachers, students, employees, administrators, parents, and friends), Jesus & Mary School endeavors to develop the following values in its students:

  • Academic values that nourish the quest for the Truth, the search for excellence, and the commitment to academic freedom and integrity, thus encouraging logical and critical thinking, data assimilation and analysis, and the use of interactive learning.
  • Aesthetic values that reflect a tasteful capacity to recognize and appreciate beauty in all its forms, delight in it, and share it with others.
  • Moral values that promote free will and responsible choices develop a sense of moral goodness, self-respect, and hunger for the Truth and contribute to faithfulness and honesty.
  • Physical value that develop the capacity to lead and enjoy a healthy life.
  • Spiritual values that reflect God’s presence in every part of life and call for His honor through one’s words and deeds, thus enabling everyone to bear the fruits of the Holy Spirit.
  • Social values that reflect thorough understanding and respect of human rights, and promote social justice, community service and solidarity.
  • Citizenship values which are rooted in genuine love and respect for Lebanon “the Message”, which foster a sincere sense of patriotism, and which promote advocacy of Lebanon’s sovereignty and independence together with an uncompromising appreciation of diversity.

In the Intermediate Division, we prepare our students for the Brevet Official Exam. However, we do keep in mind that these are the years where their character blooms as they discover their true identity and start maturing into the adults we are so proud of.

Our shared goal is to help our students develop their full potential and become self-disciplined role models for others. We can only accomplish our goal if we are committed to discipline and work together at it.

We strive to teach them different skills for life, to give them a chance to shine with their different talents, to listen to them when they need to express themselves, to lift them when they fall, and to celebrate with them when they succeed.

‘Challenge’ a simple word with the weight of a noun, of an adjective, of an adverb, and of a verb needs to be integrated into our lives. To stand out, we have to meet the academic and professional challenge set by society. To stand out, we have to challenge the conventional beliefs and common way of life of friends and peers. To stand out, we have to break our own record and take the challenging path with all its meanders. Living our values in today’s world, holding our head up high, and keeping our smile are definitely challengingly difficult tasks. Every single event leads up to Challenge. Challenge the world. Challenge yourself. Stand out.
