Because of the global nature of the JCU degree, students also start careers at major multinational companies, financial institutions, foundations, cultural organizations and diplomatic organizations, including Bloomberg, Arab African International Bank, Crowne Plaza – Rome, Heidrick & Struggles, Price Waterhouse Coopers, Honda, IBM, J. Paul Getty Museum, the World Food Program, the World Bank and the League of Arab States.

John Cabot University is an American institution of higher education in Rome, Italy. The mission of the University is to provide an educational experience firmly rooted in the American tradition of the liberal arts and solidly international in orientation. The academic programs are designed to use to the fullest extent the special resources of a multicultural faculty, an international student body and the extraordinarily rich culture and history of Rome and the surrounding region.

In support of its mission the University professes a commitment to: develop within all students the skills and the learning habits that will make it possible for them to educate themselves throughout their lives, enable students to appreciate, benefit from and contribute to the richness and diversity of other cultures, encourage leaders who will accept responsibility and make positive contributions to an increasingly interdependent and multicultural world, create an academic community composed of both full-time, four-year matriculating students and visiting students that fosters intellectual tolerance, freedom and integrity.

John Cabot University sets the following goals: to achieve an international reputation as a distinguished institution of higher education, to be known for the teaching excellence, the scholarly achievements, and the community service of its faculty, to produce graduates who are sought after by and successful in the international communities of business, public service and academe; who aspire to the highest ideals of professional and personal achievement and who motivate a similar dedication to excellence in their colleagues, to provide a campus environment that encourages sensitivity to the diverse ethnic and cultural origins of the members of the University community, to continue to support an active alumni relations program that incorporates and encourages alumni participation in student recruiting, program assessment, and financial development, to preserve the character of the University as an American institution of higher education by attracting a significant percentage of students who are U.S. citizens.

A distinguished, international faculty and staff and a student population representing over seventy countries combine to create an unparalleled learning environment. Opportunities for interaction among faculty, staff and students are provided on an on-going basis in a variety of ways: through organized social and cultural opportunities within the University; through contacts outside the University with international scholars, leaders from business and government, and students from the other universities in Rome; and through academic, personal and career advising.

A primary goal of the instructional program of the University is to provide each student with the academic preparation needed for life-long learning and personal fulfillment in an increasingly multicultural environment. Graduates of the University have been impressively successful in assuming roles of responsibility in their chosen fields and in pursuing advanced studies at prestigious institutions in Europe and the United States.

A large percentage of our graduates pursue further studies and careers in international settings. Internationally-educated students find that their credentials for job advancement and career development are well-respected and are often superior to those of others who have not had the benefit of international experience and training available at the University.

There is no better way to prepare oneself for a successful and productive role in today's global world than to choose an education mixing the wealth of a true international experience with the outstanding qualities of the U.S. university system.

For students interested in the breadth of the liberal arts in majors such as Classical Studies, History, Humanistic Studies, Art History, English Literature and Italian Studies, as well as for those who want to acquire a more practical and hands on approach to Business Administration, Marketing, International Affairs, Economics, Political Science and Communications, John Cabot University, is the place to be.

I'm a student at John Cabot and I really like it here. What makes JCU such a cool place is definitely the people. I have friends from all over the world and that kind of diversity really teaches you a lot. Living in Rome was tricky at first for me because I had never left the USA before, but I knew I made the choice when I got rich education and made life long friends once I settled in.

What makes JCU such an academically and culturally rich university is its student body and professors. Additionally, JCU combined the best qualities of an American liberal arts college with the history and culture of the Eternal City, which have challenged me both personally and professionally.

JCU offers its diversified student body great academics in the heart of Rome. The professors are reliable and helpful as the classes have on average 20-25 students in them. JCU makes efforts to connect its students to opportunity chances, such as the entrepreneurial startup convention amongst others.

I have been studying at JCU for 3 years now. The overall experience is positive, and here is why: professors do their best so that one could succeed, study abroad options are amazing, the university is very multicultural, campuses are just gorgeous as well as the area they are located in (lots of cool places one could go to, party), the food on campus is way better than in any school in the US (personal experience). JCU offers a bunch of housing options (Gianicolo - amazing, Lungara - feels like a 4star hotel). The university is the process of constant renewal: year by year they improve lots of things, create new study areas.

I'm a sophomore at JCU and all I have to say is that JCU was one of the best choices of my life. What makes JCU special is the student body and the professors and this combined with the student life, multicultural environment, athletics, and career service, that JCU provides, makes studying in the Eternal city a life changing experience. I couldn't be more happy about my choice.

John Cabot University was the key that opened many doors such as: life experiences, internships and great friendships. I have been studying at JCU in Rome for two years now, I was born and raised in Sicily but I lived in the States for a year where I finished my high school, right after I decided to pursue my education in an American University and that's how I found JCU, honestly I could not have wished for something better. Thanks to the Career Service Center I got an internship at the American Embassy of Rome, which is truly changing my life, especially since my biggest dream is being a diplomat. Professors are very competent, always available and open for discussion. I think I'll remember most of my lectures for life because professors at JCU have something special, they are "humans" and really get you. Moreover, John Cabot is where I met people from all over the world, that showed me how to look at the world from different points of view. I could not have wished to study in any other place, if not, in the heart of Rome.

I am a junior student and all I can say is that what makes JCU such an academically and culturally rich university is its student body and professors. Was a great experience, 10/10 would do it again. The classes were challenging, but interesting and exactly what I was looking for in study abroad.
