With a glorious track record in the field of higher education and blessings of the great luminaries and legendary alumni, we are committed to provide value based multidisciplinary education of demand driven courses highly relevant to the needs of society, business, industry and other sectors. Up keeping the rich traditions, we look beyond awarding degrees to the students with highly qualified, knowledgeable, dedicated and motivated faculty of proven integrity. We endeavour to maintain congenial and serene environment and aim to ignite quest for creativity, curiosity and effective learning for producing disciplined, globally competitive human capital, equipped with futuristic knowledge and skill. In missionary mode, emphasis is laid here on establishment of state-of- the-art facilities for carrying out problem oriented innovative post-graduate research to strengthen educational base.

The Khalsa University, a multifaculty institution, has been established in 2016 under the aegis of Khalsa College Charitable Society, Amritsar (KCCS) by Punjab Government Act No.44/2016 under section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956. The KCCS, a premier organization, was established by the leaders of the Singh Sabha Movement in 1892. The Society with glorious past has visionary outlook towards the future following path shown by the Great Gurus. At present the society has a distinguished history of running as many as 17 educational Institutions, including the historic Khalsa College, with more than 20,000 students. The University has well constituted 'Governing Body' 'Board of Management' and 'Academic Council' to run the affairs in a democratic way. The mission of Khalsa University is to provide opportunities for educational, vocational, professional, social, linguistic and cultural development to the people of all abilities and backgrounds; so that they can discover their potential and fulll their aspirations. Special emphasis will be laid to produce the pass-outs ready to serve the needs of stakeholders in academia, industry and various other spheres to meet the regional, national and global challenges. The University offers education in various areas of science and arts. Apart from three constituent colleges in Education, Pharmacy, and the one meant for women, a new College of Agricultural Sciences has recently been established. Opening of the Colleges in Life Sciences, and Law, is in the pipeline. It is noteworthy that all the constituent colleges of the University have got the "AGrade" accreditation from the relevant regulatory bodies. The University has 170 faculty members on roll. At present, 134 Ph.D and 103 master's students are pursuing education in different disciplines.

Khalsa University, Amritsar is committed to provide best of the technical and professional education to society and inculcate amongst the masses the ability of logical thinking, peaceful co-existence and universal brotherhood as envisaged by the great Sikh Gurus. We hope that Khalsa University will carry forward the legacy of Khalsa College and set new benchmarks of excellence.

The Khalsa College Charitable Society, no doubt, lays emphasis on moulding and reshaping the Punjabi youth according to Sikh ideals, yet it has always maintained a secular stance and outlook since its inception. The mission and vision of Khalsa College Charitable Society, Amritsar as enshrined in its Constitution are as follows:

• To provide higher education with a focus on transformative education in the context of globalization
• To provide opportunities for educational, vocational, professional, social, linguistic and cultural development to the people of all abilities and backgrounds; so that they can discover their potential and fulfill their aspirations
• To develop multidimensional personality of the students by providing them opportunities to participate in religious, cultural, co-curricular, theatrical, literary and sports activities.
• To value originality and vision, encourage initiative and promote creativity.
• To instill a sense of pride and achievement of personal accomplishment and to develop a sense of responsibility towards society, fellow beings and the nation.
• To inculcate in the students high standards of morality, culture, character and secularism as taught by Sikh Gurus and laid down in the holy Guru Granth Sahib.
• To produce intelligent and useful citizens with a high sense of integrity, moral sense, fellow feelings and patriotism.
