At Kilburn Grange School the education we offer ensures that every pupil achieves confidence and success through high quality educational experiences, with a broad, balanced and enriching curriculum that has an emphasis on core learning and a key focus on ICT. At Kilburn Grange School the pupils develop the ability to communicate in an intelligent, articulate and confident manner. The pupils learn in a stimulating, safe and welcoming environment, with first class educational experiences to enable all children to thrive.

Our ultimate aim is to instil a love for learning and a desire to be motivated, to enable the pupils to become proud of their achievements and become responsible future citizens.

Education at Kilburn Grange School will be for life. It is the aim that each student will leave the school, not only with the best possible educational attainment, particularly in the basic skills of literacy and numeracy, but also with the skills and attitudes needed to succeed and achieve fulfilment in a changing world, in order to make a positive contribution as responsible and valuable members of society.

Through Kilburn Grange School’s high expectations for all children’s learning, there is a strong moral purpose and a unique ethos of warmth and respect to educate children.

Our school is a place that inspires and engages children’s minds and hearts. Our school believes in a democracy and the laws of the country, where every individual has a voice that is heard and respected. Let’s stop hate and collaborate!

At Kilburn Grange School we put the children at the heart of everything we do in order for them to learn. Enjoy. Succeed. – Wonder, Enjoy, Collaborate, Aspire, Reflect, Endeavour.

Welcome to Kilburn Grange School, a two form entry, primary free school based in Brent. We opened in September 2015 with our first year of children and their families. As you will see from our vision statement, the children are at the heart of everything we do and as we grow, we will continue to meet the needs of all of the children in our care. We have a highly qualified, dedicated team of staff with specialised skills to ensure the pupils have provision that is catered to their individual needs. One of our strengths is our engaging and rich curriculum, which enables the pupils not only to take ownership and pride over their learning, but most of all, to have fun.

At Kilburn Grange School we follow the Early Years and Foundation Stage Statutory Framework and design our curriculum to ensure this is met. The curriculum is broad and balanced, providing opportunities for pupils of all stages of development and backgrounds to succeed.

There is a focus on core learning and the use of ICT is integral, enabling all pupils to gain full access to the curriculum. At Kilburn Grange School we follow a topic based approach. Each half-term children learn about a new topic, which feeds into an overarching theme for the term. The children explore stories and write, as well as activities linked to the other areas of learning linked that topic.

From the Reception Class to Year 6 in Key Stage 2, Kilburn Grange School offers a curriculum suitable for our inclusive intake that meets the needs of all pupils and leads to high standards of academic and personal achievement. Learning in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 is based on the National Curriculum and at times entails formal teaching of spelling, punctuation and grammar as part of our emphasis on literacy. ICT provision is innovative and supports all learners.

Throughout all the age ranges we ensure that RE and PSHE are taught so that the pupils can learn core values and beliefs from the very start. This includes learning Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural aspects of life and fundamental British Values, where they regard people of all faiths, races and cultures with respect and tolerance. Children also learn that different people may hold different views about what is ‘right’ and ‘wrong.’
