Admission Procedure

Note:

  • FS 2 children registering now will have to complete 4 years of age by 31st December.
  • There will be no change to existing regulations and practices for transfers from Year 1 upwards.
  • For Year 1 to Year 9, admission is granted on the basis of an Admission / Assessment test in English and Math.

Admission timings :

  • Sunday – Thursday – 8.30 am to 12.00 pm
  • Saturday – 9.30 am to 12.00 pm.

Documents to be submitted at the time of admission:

  • 2 photocopies of the birth certificate in English or Arabic.
  • 2 photocopies of valid passport and a valid residence visa of child and father. The photocopies must contain pages showing date of issue and date of expiry. The passport and visa should be valid till December or at least 2 months from the date of submission whichever is later. Submit both passport copies if the visa is on expired passport.
  • Copy of Emirates ID card.
  • 5 recent passport size photographs of the child.
  • Medical/Immunization record from the previous school clinic completed and signed.
  • Family card for UAE nationals only.
  • Last school’s attested original report card if applicable.
  • Original transfer certificate/school leaving certificate required for students coming from schools outside UAE, Those coming from schools in UAE may give continuation certificate at the time of registration.

Leaving /transfer Certificate

  • All applicants for admission from Year 1 to Year 9 must produce a LC/TC.
  • LC’s/TC’s can only be English or Arabic.
  • A LC/ TC is different from report cards, transcripts or other school records.
  • SPS requires that LC’S/TC’s clearly state to which grade a student was promoted at the end of the year (if enrolling mid-year),or in which grade the student is currently enrolled (if enrolling mid-year).
  • Leaving or Transfer certificates must be stamped by the following authorities listed, depending on the location of the previous school.
    • North America, Western Europe, Australia or New Zealand 1) School stamp and signature.
    • Middle East (except for the UAE), South and Central America, Asia, former Russian States, Eastern Europe and Africa
      • School stamp and signature.
      • Ministry of Education (in the country of the school’s location)
      • Ministry of Foreign Affairs (in the country of the school’s location)
      • UAE embassy (in the country of the school’s location).In case UAE Embassy doesn’t exist there, the stamp of any Arabic Embassy will do.
    • Another emirates of the UAE: School Stamp and signature (TC/LC must be in Arabic)

Admissions Policy

Star Private School`s Admissions Policy is determined by the Management in conjunction with the Head of School. Star Private School is a day school that offers good education facilities. Providing education in a holistic manner and ensuring excellence in all aspects is the hallmark of Star Private School. We welcome students from all backgrounds as per our SEND policy. We are a totally inclusive school. Admission – Application process for Students Enrolling from FS 2- Year 9 (KG 1 to Grade 8).

Admissions: Intimation

Once the duly filled application has been submitted and processed, the school will communicate the availability of the seat to parent/guardian by SMS/Phone call within a week.

Upon confirmation of admission and the screening procedure, parent is asked to complete the payment of the admission fee within the stipulated time as mentioned by the admission office to reserve a seat.
