You can register your child at our nursery in three easy steps:

Step 1: Start by getting in touch

You can contact us by whatsapp +968 9297 1611, visit our facebook page or email us admissions@willowbrooknursery.org.

Step 2: Drop in for a viewing

We highly recommend visiting us with your child, a chance to tour the Nursery, speak with our Staff and get an overall feel for the Nursery.

Step 3: We will walk you through the paperwork

Please complete the Registration Form (download here) along with supporting documents specified on the Registration Requirements List. You will need to confirm your child’s start date with the office. The process is complete after paying the registration fee at the Nursery office or by bank transfer.

  • After registration you will receive email confirmation from the Nursery along with an email from your child’s class teacher. The email will include all the requirements of what your child will need when he or she starts. Once your child is offered a place you will need to submit the following documents:
  • Completed medical form
  • 4 colour passport size photos (please write your child’s name on the back)
  • Copy of child’s birth certificate
  • Signed Parents’ Terms and Conditions
  • Completed Indemnity Form
  • Completed Vaccination Record Form
  • Completed Non-Prescription Medicine Record
  • Media Consent Form

Step 4: Settling-in begins from home

In the weeks prior to your child’s first day have the ‘big day’ talk with them about the new experience they are about to embark on, mentioning all the new and exciting things they will be doing. Babies will pick up on the positive messages you give about this transition.

Read books about ‘the first day’ with your child to prepare them for the experience. ‘My First Day at Nursery’ by Becky Edwards and Anthony Flintoff and ‘Maisy Goes to Playschool’ are two that we recommend.

If this is the first time your child is going to be separated from you, you could help them prepare by spending short periods of time apart in the run up to their first day.

We encourage parents contact us to arrange short visits to the nursery to help their little one get used to the new environment and to build trust and friendship with the child’s Teacher. Please provide the Teacher with details of your child’s requirements and preferences prior to their first day.

Step 5: First day at Nursery

Your child’s Teacher will guide you through the settling in process, they are responsible for your child’s development and welfare throughout your child’s time at the nursery.

The Teachers are qualified and experienced to facilitate the settling of your child into nursery life with all the information you have offered. No question is ever a silly question and we encourage families to take an active role in nursery life.
