Admission

KG1 Admission KG Admission starts on Saturday 9rd of December (10.00 – 12.00).

Application form and necessary information are available online in PDF format.

Admission depends on space availability. Therefore, we are only able to accept a limited number of students. Retaining the balance and integrity of class composition is very important to us.

Steps to follow for Admission

• Download the application form.
• Fill it out in clear handwriting. Make sure that you fill all fields as they are obligatory.
• Submit the application form in addition to the application fees at the campus location (AlObour City).

Child’s Assessment (Interview)

• Date and Time: Child’s assessment will be within a week from the application date.
• Location: The Green Valley School campus location (AlObour City).
• Duration: Lasts for approximately an hour.
• Parents are expected to Wait for the child until s/he finishes the assessment. They are required not to leave the school in case the child finishes early or faces any difficulties settling down.

Parents’ Interview

• Date and Time: Appointed by the school administration.
• Both parents and the child have to attend the meeting.

Assessment Results

All parents receive an e-mail with feedback on their child's application status.

In case of:

• acceptance, parents have to proceed with the registration procedures mentioned in the acceptance e-mail.
• waiting list, applicants will be admitted where and when a place becomes available based on the following priorities:
  • child’s performance in the assessments.
  • Siblings already in the school
  • Order of application
• rejection, sitting for a re-assessment is not within the school policy.

Assessment Terms and Conditions

• An invitation for assessment does not guarantee the offer of a place in school. It is possible that an applicant will be assessed and offered a place on the waiting list or rejected.
• School admission assessment papers are strictly confidential and accordingly may not be shared with parents.
• The school reserves the right not to disclose any information that it deems unnecessary with regards to the admission assessment.

Primary Admission

School tours begin in November and occur on Saturdays (full day:9.00 am – 1.30 pm) and on weekdays (after school hours: 2.30 pm – 3.30 pm).

High School

Applicants will be called for interviews during the second half of March/first half of April.

Applicants are required to do an assessment test in English and Maths.

Parents will be notified of assessment results within one week of interview date.

Knowledge of the German language is an advantage. Applicants with no prior knowledge of the German language can refer to German Language Course for learning opportunities.

Getting Ready for the German language

Option 1

Candidate students are welcome to join the summer school at GVS for a German language course. Students enrolled in this 3-week language program are required to attend all scheduled sessions from 9:00 a.m to 3:00 p.m, on a daily basis (exclusive of Fridays).

Option 2

Alternatively, should a candidate student prefer to study the German language on his or her own, a German language primer will be available for self-education. Yet an assessment test shall be held in September to assess language potential and achievement.
