Welcome from the ICS Milan admissions team. We aim to make the Admissions process as smooth as possible for all families wishing to join us.Our Admissions process begins when you first contact us. We are always available via phone or email to share with you the first information, and then always recommend to book a visit, on site or remotely, so we can discuss and understand your children’s needs.
The following steps are then different based on your children’s age and school level:
Early Years
We are always glad to welcome new students in the Early Years age range (1-3 for Nursery, 3 to 5 for Kindergarten). Most students join ICS in September, but we are happy to admit students throughout all the school year, as long as we have available places.
No pre-requisites are required, not even from the language point of view in this age range, however, we do want to get to know you and, when possible, your child before enrolment, so a first meeting with the School Manager of your selected campus is warmly recommended.
Of course, if you have any written documentation from your child’s previous school, feel free to share it, it will help us to better welcome and support your child.
Primary School
In Primary school, we welcome students with various backgrounds, designing a personalized transition for each of them, based on their previous learning experiences and their English and Italian language skills.
To start with, we ask you to share with us your child’s two latest school reports, translated in English.
Once the reports are received, we proceed with an individual assessment divided in two parts:
Students with language gaps can benefit from the EAL/IAL support program, whose format and duration is agreed based on the assessment outcomes.
Secondary School
Every year at Middle school we welcome a lot of new students who come from several different learning experiences, creating a diverse, enriching environment.
To ensure a successful transition, we carefully evaluate each student’s profile: first, through the assessment of the two latest school reports, that we ask you to share with us in English.
Once the reports are received, we proceed with an individual assessment divided in two parts:
Special attention when entering Secondary School is given to student’s language proficiency: a personalized EAL/IAL support program may be required, depending on the assessment outcomes.
