St David’s Prep is a selective school. Most pupils start their St David’s journey by joining our Pre-Reception class in the September following their 3rd birthday. Additional places are also available to start in Reception.
Prospective Pre-Reception entrants are selected following an informal ‘play and stay’ session in the January preceding the academic year of entry.
Prospective Reception entrants are selected following an informal assessment and observation within the classroom in the December of the preceding academic year.
We are happy to accept pupils, subject to our usual criteria, at any stage during KS1 and KS2 should places be available. All prospective pupils will be required to attend a taster day in class during which some form of age appropriate assessment will be undertaken. We also require a copy of their latest school report.
