Applying for a Place

The school follows the Local Authority admissions policy. The main admission criteria for pupils are generally:

  • Has Special Educational Needs requiring placement at the school.
  • Has a specific medical, social or educational need that this school is able to meet.
  • Has a brother or sister at Ferry Lane Primary School.
  • Lives in the local area.

At Ferry Lane school children are prioritised in order of the following criteria:

  • If the child has a Special Need
  • Child has a social (ie is a Looked After Child) or medical need
  • Child lives in Haringey
  • Parent/Carer receives income support
  • Child is cared for by a lone parent
  • Child is a twin/triplet
  • Parent/Carer is an asylum seeker, has refugee status or exceptional leave to remain
  • Child speaks English as a second language

Please note: If Parents/Carers do not respond to letters and phone calls with regards to the offer of a place, then the next child on the waiting list will be allocated the place instead.

Visits to the school by prospective parents/carers and pupils are most welcome.
