If you are joining our school from the Ukraine, you might find this brochure helpful. Appendix A explains the school admissions process in more detail.
Community Schools Admissions Arrangements
As set out in the School Admissions Code, Admission authorities must set (‘determine’) admission arrangements annually. Where changes are proposed to admission arrangements, the admission authority must first publicly consult on those arrangements. Consultation must be for a minimum of 6 weeks and must take place between 1st October and 31st January of the school year before those arrangements are to apply.
Hillingdon Council is the admissions authority for all Hillingdon Community schools.
You can access the determined and proposed admission arrangements for Hillingdon community schools for below.
Field End nursery has places for 90 children, some of which can be used for children with 30-hour provision if eligible. To see if you are eligible for 30 hours funding log onto https://www.childcarechoices.gov.uk/
The Governing Body is responsible for taking decisions about admissions to the Nursery class. Places for the Nursery classes are allocated directly by the school and are granted on the same basis used by the Borough for school places. Parents are asked to sign a form acknowledging that admittance to the Nursery does not guarantee a fulltime place.
Families are provided with a copy of the school brochure and home school agreement form. An evening meeting takes place before entry to the Nursery (usually held in July and December). The Nursery staff will arrange a home visit prior to the child entering Nursery. As with the main school children are admitted on a staggered intake basis and parents are encouraged to form good communication links with the school.
Once we have completed the allocations for September, we will consider allocating available places, based on age and the likelihood of being allocated a school place. Every year we will consider the need for admitting children in January and April where we have available spaces. We start the admission process in the second half of the Spring term every year.
