Admissions to Nursery are the responsibility of the Governing Body (using the same criteria as for the infant School, see below). Admissions to the Infant School are the responsibility of the Local Authority (Hillingdon). Parents who are considering sending their child to Newnham are welcome to make an appointment with the Headteacher who will be happy to take them on a tour of the school. An application for a place at the Infant School can be made on-line.
There is one intake for Nursery in line with the academic year in September. Children are eligible to join our nursery the September FOLLOWING their 3rd birthday and places are allocated in the Spring Term. We will still accept applications after this time.
We offer 30 hour (dependent on eligibility) and 15 hours morning or afternoon Nursery sessions. Please note, if your child is attending our Nursery this does not automatically entitle you to a school place. To apply for a Nursery place please contact the School Office. 02037456215
Our current admissions number is 90 children per year which are organised into three classes in year groups. Intakes are monitored very carefully across age and gender groupings to the best educational benefit of the children.

Admissions criteria and arrangements for London Borough of Hillingdon maintained schools
When the school is oversubscribed, after the admission of pupils with an Education Health Care Plan where the school is named, priority for admission will be given to those pupils who meet the following criteria:
Children living nearest to the school, distance will be measured in a straight line from the point set by Ordnance Survey at the child’s home address using a computerised mapping system.
*Sibling includes: brother, sister, half-brother or half-sister with one parent in common and adopted siblings. Siblings attending Newnham Junior School are included.
In-year applications are for children who either wish to change schools or who have moved to the area and need to start a new school during the academic year. Admissions to the Infant School are the responsibility of the Local Authority (Hillingdon).
If you are joining our school from the Ukraine, you might find this brochure helpful. Appendix A explains the school admissions process in more detail.
