Please do make sure you submit the CAF by 31st October if you do not manage to do this it will significantly reduce the likelihood of your child gaining a place at the school.

All are welcome to come and meet the school team and visit our historic building. This is an opportunity to see how we work and to ask all the questions you have about your sons transition to year 7 as well as discover all about our broad and challenging London curriculum as well as our sporting and maritime offers, that run all the way from Year 7 to Year 13.

For those families living outside Lambeth please do contact us if you are not able to select London Nautical as your first choice using your home boroughs CAF form and we will support you with the admissions process.

Please complete your Supplementary Information Form (SIF) for London Nautical School on line. It is important that every item of information requested on the Supplementary Information Form (SIF) is filled in, this will help us in efficiently processing your application.

Any family wishing to apply for a place at The London Nautical School (LNS) must complete two forms, the Common Application Form (CAF) from your Local Authority and the London Nautical School SIF.

You will need to complete a CAF (school admissions form) for the Local Authority you live in - so parents from, for example, Westminster need to complete a Westminster Admissions form. You must put London Nautical School as your first choice.

The links for the local authority (CAF) admissions pages are as below; click on your authority and the link for the admissions page will appear. You must apply via your home authority putting London Nautical as your first choice as well as completing the London Nautical SIF form.

Arrangements

Please Be Aware that We Do Not Administer a Test at London Nautical School for Year 7 Admissions. Please note that London Nautical School is for boys only at year 7.

Children with Special Needs

• If your child has an Education Health Care Plan (ECHP) you need to apply by a different process via your Local Authority. If you have not already received a letter from your Local Authority asking for secondary school preferences, please contact them directly.

• If your child has Special Needs you should complete the Common Application Form and London Nautical School Supplementary Information Form.

What Happens After You Have Sent in Your Supplementary Information Form (sif)?

• Please look on the website www.lns.org.uk. Under the admissions tab, Year 7 applications, please complete the online form.
• Once you have completed and submitted your application form (SIF) to the school make sure you have completed your local Borough Admission form (CAF) as above and selected London nautical School as choice number one (1)
• If you have returned your application form online, you will receive acknowledgement by return email.
• On National Offer Day, 1 March , your local Authority contact to let you know which school is able to offer you a place.
• On 3 March letters will be sent from London Nautical School to all applicants who have been offered a place or have not been offered a school of a higher preference.
