Admissions
As a community secondary school, our admissions are run by the borough of Lewisham. You will then be told by your borough by email which school you can be offered a place. If the school is oversubscribed, places will be offered to:
- Children in Public Care (Looked after Children)
- Children of families with exceptional medical or social need
- Children whose older brother or sister is on roll
- Children who live nearest to the school
It is essential you update your borough if you move address during this time as you will need to accept your place within two weeks.
Important Dates for Year 6 Parents
- Applications open (apply online): Thursday 1 September
- Closing date for applications: Monday 31 October (we recommend that you submit your online application by Monday 24 October )
- Results for online applications: Wednesday 1 March (you will get an email in the evening telling you where your child has been offered a place)
- If you applied by post, or if you haven’t been offered a place: Lewisham LA will send you the results by first class post on Wednesday 1 March (first class post does not guarantee next-day delivery)
- Deadline for accepting your offer: Wednesday 15 March (if you applied online, you must accept the offer online – you should keep a record of your login details)
Appeals
- Closing date for appeals for community schools in the borough: Wednesday 29 March (admissions authorities of other schools may set the same or a later deadline)
- Appeal hearings: June/July (if you submit an appeal after 29 March , it may not be heard until the start of the academic year in September )
