Children are usually admitted to our Nursery the September following their 3rd birthday, depending on places available. We offer both full and part time provision.
Full time places (8.30am - 3.30pm) are available to families who qualify for 30 free childcare offered by the Government. Click on the link above to check your eligibility. Part time places are open to all families: our morning session runs from 8.30am - 11.30am, and our afternoon sessions from 12.30pm - 3.30pm.
How to apply for a place
To apply for a place at our Nursery, please complete the Nursery Enquiry Form in the above link. Once an enquiry has been made you will receive a follow-up email or telephone call from our Admissions Officer and be placed on the waiting list. You will be contacted in the summer term (May - July) if your child has been successful in gaining a place in the Nursery starting in September, whether it is for a part time place or full time place.
If you apply during the year, your child will be placed on a waiting list and will remain there until you are contacted further by our Admissions Officer or a place becomes available.
Important Notice
Admission to the Nursery does not secure a full time place in Reception. Parents need to apply separately. Please see the information on Reception admissions regarding applications to the school.
An In-Year admission is any application for a school place made outside the normal admissions rounds. The normal admissions rounds are for entry into school in September whereas the In-year applications are for parents who either wish to change schools or who have moved into the area and need to start a new school during the academic year.
You will have to register your child’s details with the Local Authority by clicking on the link above. If your application is successful, you will be required to complete a Cherry Lane application form. A start date will only be given on receipt of the application form to the admissions officer.
