How to Apply for September

Here is a step-by-step guide that will take you from application to September enrolment at LAE.

Attend Our Open Day

Thursday 16th November (in person) or Thursday 30th November (virtual)

This is your opportunity to find out everything you need to know about LAE and our facilities and speak with our students and staff. Booking links will be available online (see Open Day) from Monday 2nd October .

Submit Your Online Application

Applications are made online and the application form will be available from Friday, 3rd November (see Apply to LAE Stratford). You must:

  • start your application form before Friday, 19th January
  • submit your completed application by Friday, 26th January .

All applications must be supported by a reference from a teacher at your current school who will verify the information you have provided us with - this reference will be requested automatically upon completion of your online application and must be submitted by Friday, 16th February , along with any changes to submitted applications.

Attend a Guidance Meeting

Once applications have closed, we will invite selected applicants to attend a guidance meeting. Due to the high volume of applications we receive, it is important we are able to ensure LAE would be the best fit for those who have applied, as well as to offer advice on subject choices and future aspirations. If you are unable to attend a guidance meeting we may still be able to make a provisional offer to you.

Accept Your Provisional Offer

Having submitted an application and attended a guidance meeting, successful applicants will receive a provisional offer of a place at LAE. You must accept this offer in principle and confirm the details of your offer, including your A level subject choices, are correct.

Come to Our Welcome Day

After your GCSE exams we will invite all provisional offer-holders to attend one of our Welcome Days: an individually timetabled afternoon of A level taster classes and an excellent opportunity to meet students, who are studying the subjects you are interested in, and our expert teaching staff. You will also receive information about enrolment and induction and life at LAE.

Enrol at Lae

Gcse Results Day, August - Onsite Enrolment Day, August

Collect your GCSE results and if you have met, or exceeded, the conditions of your provisional offer submit your results online to LAE along with your transcripts and a scan/image of your official ID. Successful provisional offer holders will then be invited to enrol and must attend in person on enrolment day to complete their enrolment at LAE Stratford. Please note that no place at LAE Stratford is guaranteed until you have completed your enrolment.

If you did not receive a provisional offer you will be able to join a waiting list for spare places. Please note that we cannot guarantee that there will be spare places and the chances of there being any are very low.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

The LAE curriculum is academically rigorous and challenging. Accordingly, places will be offered to applicants who are assessed as being most likely to meet our minimum entry requirements and who will benefit from the opportunities offered at LAE.
