Admissions Arrangements for next year September

All families of Year 6 children in London who are eligible to transfer to secondary school in next year September must apply for a place at Secondary school by 31 October this year.
People who wish to submit an application for consideration under the criterion for Exceptional Social-Medical Need also needed to complete an additional supplementary form, which must also be received by the school by 31 October.
Places will be allocated and parents informed on1 March; the deadline to accept places will be 15 March
We use ParentMail to keep in regular contact with families, and a combination of the online enrolment form via Applicca and a face to face meeting.
In keeping with our usual schedule, following the Easter holiday, we invite successful applicants to submit the completed forms and upload images of the child's original passport and / or birth certificate, their latest school report and any medical / SEN notes as necessary. If you need to discuss this please get in touch.
We are oversubscribed and always have a long waiting list of people who wish to enrol at PLS. Please be aware that if you do not complete our enrolment process and do not get in touch with us, we will remove you from our admissions process so that we can offer the place to the person at the top of the waiting list.
Due to the ongoing global pandemic, we advise you that admissions and appeals arrangements may change at short notice. Arrangements are subject to government guidance and public health advice.
In-Year Admissions Arrangements
Thank you for your interest in Prendergast Ladywell School.
A new School Admissions Code (2021) (“the Code”) came into force on 1 September. The school will act in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Code. Our in-year application form is now open and we welcome new in-year applications.
PLEASE NOTE: We are only able to process applications once the school has received all relevant requested documents.
You will need to provide documents to support your application, including a current proof of address. For more information and the full list of accepted documents, please read our parental responsibility and address protocols, available on the School Policies page of our website.
Year 8 - Year 11
For in-year admissions, you must apply direct to Prendergast Ladywell School. We welcome new in-year applications from each September when our school re-opens to students. Please complete and return our in-year application form. For Year 11, we advise you to email the school to provide more information or contact your own local authority.
The waiting list will be closed each year when the school closes at the end of the summer term. Should you wish to remain on our in-year waiting list, you will need to make a new application each academic year.
Year 7
For in-year admissions to Year 7, the secondary transfer planned round applies until 31 December each year. This school participates in the pan London Admissions Scheme for secondary transfer admissions into Year 7 each September and all applications must go via your Local Authority until the end of December of the year of entry.
From the start of term in January each year, our standard in-year admissions procedure applies to in-year applications to Year 7, and you must apply direct to Prendergast Ladywell School from January onwards.
You are advised to submit an In-year Common Application Form (iCAF) to your own local authority if you wish to transfer your child/ward from Prendergast Ladywell School to another school.

Please note, this school is Prendergast Ladywell School in Ladywell Fields. (Our sister schools are Prendergast School (all-girls) and Prendergast Vale (co-ed).
Admission criteria
The admission criteria for in-year admissions are the same oversubscription criteria as published in our Determined Admissions Policy each year and on our Admission Arrangements page for entry into Year 7 (see link in left-hand menu to admissions arrangements for current year).
