Applying for the Infants

We hold Open Sessions in the Autumn term. This is an opportunity for prospective parents to have a tour of our school, meet members of staff and ask questions.

To book either of these tours please email the school in September on office@robinhoodinfants.org.uk or call on 0208 643 3688. Entrance to the tours will be via our Western Road Entrance.

Children are admitted into the Reception classes in September in accordance with the Admissions Policy of the London Borough of Sutton. Our published numbers are 90 for Robin Hood Infant School. The children are placed in unstreamed, mixed classes of 30 in the Infants.

Applying for Junior School

Our Federation works very closely with Robin Hood Junior School and share many of the policies and learning expectations, we are pleased that we have this close partnership and our families have always spoken highly of both provisions.

The expected pathway is for children to transition to the Juniors although it is essential to ensure this, that an application is completed.(Whilst we ourselves can not guarantee a place at the Junior school it would be most unusual, and to this date has not occurred, that a place has not been offered.)

Admissions for Thomas Wall Nursery

The application process for a nursery place at a Sutton Community School changed from September. All applicants must now apply to the schools direct.

Please find the Thomas Wall Nursery application form below and our Starting Nursery booklet to explain how to apply for a place at Thomas Wall Nursery.

Please contact our school office if you have any question on 020 8642 5666.

Please note: admission to a nursery class does not guarantee a place in the reception class of the same school. You will need to make a separate application which will be considered against the admission criteria in place at the time.

Our Assessment Base, Dragonflies Class, has 20 places for children with social communication difficulties, including Autism Spectrum Disorder. To be considered for a place in Dragonflies, children must be referred by a health or education professional, e.g. Salt, Portage. All children referred are discussed at a meeting of the Pre Com Panel. It is the responsibility of the Pre Com Panel to make the decision regarding the allocation of places.
