In-year admissions

Does your child need to join us outside of the usual September start date? That's not a problem - read on to find out how in-year admissions work.

An in-year admission is when you apply to a school outside the normal admissions round for pupils starting in September. You would normally make an in-year application if you have recently moved, you have arrived from another country or you want to transfer your child from another school.

Applications made to any year group outside the main admissions round should be made directly to the local authority.

You will hear the outcome of your application within 15 school days.

Bolingbroke Academy is very oversubscribed with an average of 850 applications for 120 places each year, therefore we have waiting lists in every year group. Our Admissions Manager will be able to liaise with you on the likelihood of a place becoming available.
