MUL is open to all students regardless of race, colour, religion, nationality or national heritage. Unfortunately we are currently unable to offer support for children with special needs so any student with a statement of SEN will not be enrolled unless exclusive arrangements can be made.
All students must sit an entrance examination for which a fee of £20 is payable. This test will include papers on English, Mathematics and Science. Preference is given to high achieving students and to students with a sibling already enrolled in the school.
MUL also values highly the character and commitment of the parents or guardians. Following the entrance exam, both the student and their parent or guardian will be interviewed. During this interview, feedback will be given on the written entrance examination and the student will also be tested for their ability to read and recite the Qur’an. The parent or guardian will then be advised as to whether they are currently ready to attend Tahfiz classes of if their reading and/or Tajwid will first need to be improved. After the interview and test, successful applicants will receive written confirmation of admission.
