Admissions

Crosslee Community Primary School’s Admissions Policy is in accordance with the policy set by the Local Authority (LA).

Our admissions figure, allocated by the LA, is 60 per year group in Reception to Year 6.

All applications for a school place in Reception to Year 6 are made by completing an online form on Manchester City Council’s website.

Nursery places are allocated by the school.

If you require a Nursery place you must apply directly to the school. Please contact the school office on 0161 795 8493.

The Headteacher is responsible for allocating places, using the procedures set out below for Nursery Admissions.

The Nursery has provision for 52 full time places and are allocated in line with the LA policy.

Admissions to Nursery do not come on a first come first served basis therefore the date at which you apply for a place does not affect your child’s position on the list.

Factors which influence the prioritising of places are:

Category 1
Exceptional social and / or medical circumstances. Written evidence is required and these cases are decided upon by the LA in consultation with the Headteacher.

Category 2
An older brother or sister in school.

Category 3
Distance from the school. Priority is given to children who live nearest to the school. The distance is measured in a straight line on a map between home address and school.

All parents will be asked to complete an Emergency Contact Number Form / Home School Agreement. Nursery places are offered during the Summer Term prior to the child starting in September.
