Welcome to West Derby School, and the area of our website dedicated to Year 6 - Year 7 transition. In light of the current Coronavirus situation, transition to secondary school will look a little different this year. We understand that transition can be a little daunting for students and parents. However, rest assured that to help make this process as smooth as possible, we have included lots of information to support you and your child in preparation for their new and exciting journey with us.
We have included some key information such as the ‘Welcome Booklet’ and ‘First Day Guide’ – please ensure you take some time to read over these carefully before joining us in September.
Finally, please revisit this dedicated area regularly, as we will continue to upload key transition information; we also have some exciting things planned for you, including a ‘virtual video tour’, which will help familiarise you with the school surroundings.
