Admission Process

The admission form must be completed fully and accurately in legible and neat handwriting. All relevant information must be declared including details of any disciplinary, social, physical, medical or psychological problems. Relevant medical and educational psychologist’s report, if any, should be submitted to the school if appropriate.

All prospective students wishing to register and enroll at T.I.S. must adhere to the strict admission policy. It is the policy of the school to selectively admit any student to the school only after the completion of all application information along with all necessary documents for registration and successfully passing the entrance interview and examination. After the student passes the entrance exam test, all applications and required documents must be received and approved by the school's concerned administrators for the student to be accepted. All decisions for admission and placement will be made strictly in the best interest of the applicant; therefore the school reserves the right to deny testing or placement.

After the student passes the entrance exam test, the school’s admission committee will review the prospective student’s application, transcripts and report cards for the past three years from previous schools to determine if the student is eligible to be accepted at T.I.S. Prospective students must successfully pass the entrance exam and achieve grade level scores to be considered for placement.

It is the responsibility of parents to inform the registrar if they are aware of any special educational needs and difficulties that the student may have at the time of submission of the application. Students suspected of requiring special educational needs that cannot be provided by the school may be asked to provide assessment information from independent professional evaluation centers prior to making a decision for eligibility of admission and placement testing. Based upon test results, the school reserves the right to offer various options such as acceptance, denial of admission or acceptance to a lower level.

Priority for admission will be given to current re-enrolling students and their siblings. Students requesting to register after the closing date of general registration will be placed on a first–come–first-serve basis.

Once classes are full, prospective applicants will be placed on a waiting list, which does not guarantee placement.

Student Records from Other Schools

T.I.S. requires student records from the applicant’s previous school before any student is accepted. These records include reports, transcripts, and results of standardized tests. T.I.S. reserves the right to contact the applicant’s previous school prior to acceptance.

Ideal Time to Apply

The ideal time to start the registration process would be February of every year. Entrance exams will be conducted on a daily basis.

Needed Documents

All forms must be completed entirely and submitted to the school. No steps are taken until all required documentation has been submitted. The following documents should be submitted with the application form:

Withdrawal Policy

Parents are requested to inform the school during the pre-registration process for the next year of their intent to withdraw their son/daughter. If a withdrawal is to occur during the school year, the following procedure has to be followed:

Parents have to fill out the "Withdrawal Form" taken from the Registrar’s Office and return it back to the concerned head of school at least two weeks prior to the due date of withdrawal. The concerned head of school will notify the Registrar’s Office of the departure date to check whether the student has any pending financial issues.

Exit/transfer documents will not be released until the student has completed the checkout process and has returned all the school’s belongings. All tuition fees plus any other fees will have to be fully paid before exit documents are issued to the parents.

Please note that if a student is withdrawn during the academic year, full annual fees must be paid.

Late Admissions

A student may be admitted to T.I.S. only if:

  • The student is transferring from outside Jeddah.
  • The student took approval from the Ministry of Education.
  • Places are available.

During the second term of an academic year, admissions take place only during the first 2 weeks of the term. No students will be admitted after that time.
