Admission Requirements
Registration and place reservation for an academic year starts in the first week of February. All applicants seeking admission to Monsif National School (MNS) are required to submit the following documents:
The Lebanese official program leading to the Lebanese Baccalaureate:
- An official transcript of the past two years, indicating subjects studied and grades received
- A recommendation including last class completed, certified by the Lebanese Ministry of Education
- An entrance exam at MNS
Students coming from abroad are also required to submit the following additional documents:
Lebanese equivalency of the last class completed, from the Equivalence Committee of the Lebanese Ministry of Education
The High School Diploma Program
Applicants must have obtained prior to the time set for registration by MNS a "permission" from the Equivalence Committee of the Lebanese Ministry of Education allowing them to pursue their education in a High School Program, exempted from Arabic. To obtain this "permission", applicants should submit to the above-mentioned committee the following documents, original plus a copy:
- For Lebanese students, evidence of having lived and studied outside Lebanon for not less than two uninterrupted years. This evidence normally consists of the student’s passport, the passport and work permit of father/guardian, proof of legal residence in a foreign country, and the official grades of two years of education plus a recommendation of last class completed. If the years of study are at the elementary level, then proof of legal residence and the school grades should be for three uninterrupted years plus a recommendation of last class completed.
- For applicants holding a foreign passport, the official grades of two years of education in addition to a recommendation of the last class completed and proof of legal residence from the Lebanese General Security must be submitted.
- All submitted documents should be certified by the Lebanese Embassy in the foreign country and by the Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
