Step 2 - Assessment

Applicants are scheduled for an assessment as soon as the application is received, provided that it is complete.

The nature of the assessment varies for different year groups and will also involve a meeting with the Coordinator of the section to which admission is being sought. The assessment process is designed for the School to understand where your child ‘is at’ with their learning and to ensure that the placement of all children will best meet their educational and personal learning requirements. The assessment is also designed to help ascertain whether a child would require specific support, for example English as a Second Language (ESL).

Please note that the assessment material is private and a property of the School. Parents are not entitled to view or obtain copies prior to or after the child's assessment.

Step 3 - Application Review

Assessed applications will be reviewed taking into consideration various factors, including the results of the assessment, school reports, subject options at IGCSE, the English language ability level, the child's behaviour and availability of places. The School reserves the right to assign priorities for admission or refuse admission for any reason we deem fit. Where places are insufficient, applicants remain in the queue.

Step 4 - Offer Of Place

If the application is successful, an offer of place will be made. Placement of the child is at the absolute discretion of the School, taking into consideration various factors, including the student’s age, academic ability, and level of achievement relative to the School's current students.

Overall, we find that children succeed best in their correct class age groups. Our differentiated teaching accommodates students who need support and stretches the more able.

An offer of admission to the school is also based on the belief that your child will benefit from the curriculum offered and that they have a desire to progress their learning and fulfil their potential. It is possible a child is accepted on specific conditions.

The acceptance of the offer must be made by paying the applicable fees on or before the stipulated date on the letter of offer. The payment of the required fees constitutes the acceptance of a place and therein confirms the place for the child.

If the fees are paid by an employer, kindly produce a Letter of Financial Guarantee from the company and send it to us before the due date.

Expatriate Applicants

The Malaysian Immigration Authority requests that all expatriate students obtain a relevant Visa upon acceptance by the School. The School will assist with this process upon payment of designated fee.

The School will also not be responsible of any guardian’s visa application and it is the responsibility of the parents.

For non-Malaysian citizens, admission to, and continued status as a student at the School, is conditional on the child possessing a valid visa issued by the Malaysian Immigration Department. The parent shall undertake to keep the School informed of any change in the status during the child’s enrolment at the School.

Step 5 - Admission

Upon receiving payment or letter of financial guarantee, which confirms an acceptance of offer, the School will communicate the start date of your child. Support will be given with the purchase of the School Uniform and text books as required by the section of the School to which the student is being admitted.

The Admissions Officer and/or Coordinator will provide details for their first day at the School.
