General information

The school office is responsible for all admissions enquiries, registration and entry procedures.

Prospective pupils and their families are encouraged to visit the school as early as possible; we believe that this is the only way to fully appreciate the lovely grounds and excellent facilities, but also to understand the very happy and fulfilling all-round education provided at Rockport.

A personal visit can be arranged through the School Office and Taster Days are available for prospective pupils with no obligation to register. We also hold a number of Open Days throughout the school year.

Rockport is a selective school and admission is based upon academic merit, however, our selection process is designed to also identify pupils who can benefit from our balanced and well-rounded education. A positive contribution towards the life of the school, rather than by narrow entrance exams alone, to us, is a more valuable requirement. A reference from a pupil’s current school will be requested.

A Registration Form will accompany the Prospectus and this should be completed and returned to the School Office along with the appropriate registration fee.

An acceptance form will be issued to all registered families at the appropriate time in the year prior to admission. This will guarantee your child a place, subject to satisfying the relevant entrance requirements. On completion of this, a parent contract and appropriate deposit should be submitted. (Deposit is refundable on completion of the child’s education at Rockport.)

International Students

We warmly welcome International students at Rockport School. The school can sponsor a child’s visa for the duration of their study at Rockport School if they are joining us from overseas, although we do not manage the visa application process. The Student route have been replaced the previous Tier 4 route.

The Student route, which falls under the UK's new points-based immigration system, improves on the previous Tier 4 route making for a more streamlined experience for both sponsoring institutions and students.

  • Visas that have been issued through the Tier 4 route are still valid and those eligible will still be able to apply for the Graduate Route when it opens in summer.
  • The Graduate Route will be available to international students who have completed a degree at undergraduate level or above at a Higher Education Provider with a track record of compliance and who have a valid Student (or Tier 4) visa at the time of application.
  • More information about the UK’s new points-based immigration system can be found. Further guidance for EU, EEA and Swiss students, who from 1 January will need to comply with the new system can be found.
  • EU, EEA and Swiss citizens resident in the UK before 31 December should apply to the EU settlement scheme.
