Admission Requirements
Thank you for your interest in applying for a place for your child(ren) at Loydence Academy. You will now be given:
- Fee Information.
- A current school calendar with timings for each year group.
- Admission form.
Information about admission to Loydence Academy
- Brothers and sisters of existing students will take priority.
- All children applying for places in Pre-School and Reception must attend an informal interview.
- All children applying for places in Pre-School must be completely dry and out of nappies.
- All children’s last two years school report must be submitted along with the completed application form.
- Child applying for places in Year 1 and above must take an entrance examination in Mathematics and English.
- A charge of Qrs. 558 per child is made for the assessment. This is a non-refundable payment if the child does not meet the academy’s requirements or if an offer of a place is refused by the parents.
All Applications for your Child(ren)’s Interview must include
- Completed Student application form.
- Clear copies of your child’s passport and residency permit (in-case of Non-Qatari).
- Last two years school report.
- Assessment fees Qrs. 558.
- Completed and signed fee collection policy form.
- Completed Loydence Academy medical form.
- Completed parent agreement form.
- 1 recent passport-size photograph.
Return the completed student application form, medical information and all other documents to the school office with all the documentation as outlined above. We will arrange an assessment date for your child. You will be notified as soon as possible whether a place will be offered.
If, following the assessment, you are offered a place for your child, you must submit all of the following
- Copies of the Parent or guardian’s passport & residency permit including ID number (for non-Qatari families).
- Copy of the student’s immunization card.
- Copy of student’s birth certificate.
- Pay a one-time & non-refundable Registration Fee of Qrs. 3908 to the Loydence Academy accounts. department. This must be paid within a week of the offer being made, after which time the offer is automatically withdrawn.
- 5 passport-size photographs.
Due to a new ruling from Qatar’s Supreme Education Council, all children applying for places from Year 2 and above are required to have their last two school reports attested.
All children joining Loydence must be provided with a school bag without wheels.

Legalisation Stamps are Required on the Child’s Last Two School Reports
Before leaving your country
Qatari legalisation stamps are required on school reports from the previous two years. The process necessary is listed below;
- A solicitor will be required to notarise the reports.
- Notarised copies of the reports then have to be sent to the Foreign & Commonwealth Office in the country you are leaving, to be certified as genuine.
- Notarised and Certified copies of the reports then have to be sent to the Qatari Embassy in the country you are leaving, to be stamped and certified as genuine.
- They must then go to the Ministry of Education to be stamped.
- Notarised, certified and stamped copies of the school reports are then ready to be taken to The Supreme Education Council in Doha.
- Permission must be taken from the SEC for you to be allowed to approach the school for registration. Once permission is granted the child can then have an assessment to determine whether they are able to join the academy.
